Not for people who dislike raw food :3 Sashimi is raw, and beautiful, and too me, has really nice flavour. Take for example, salmon, which has a beautiful vibrant orange and light pink stripes of fat. But once you cook it, the entire slab of salmon turns the same pale pink, and the fatty taste when raw isn't there anymore. Other seafood, like squid, also look really good, raw. The transparency of the flesh, the sweetness when chewed, ah, bliss. For the longest time, I've been thinking that chicken looks really good raw. Pink, smooth, tender-looking, I imagine it has a fantastic texture not comparable to that of cooked chicken. I also think that raw chicken would probably have a different flavour profile as compared to cooked chicken, as well as look aesthetically pleasing. Beef too, when raw, has beautiful marbling, which looks like an absolute gem to enjoy. Not saying that cooked beef doesn't taste good, but I would really want to try a thin slice of roar A5 wagyu. I also buy shabu shabu pork shanks, and the look really pretty and red too. As long as it's not dripping in blood, I think it looks really appetizing and I lament my inability to eat the food raw. Sure, I like various ways of cooking, smoking and processing of proteins, but doesn't having it raw sound good at times? although I don't think I wrote a long post, for the tl;dr people Doesn't raw proteins look appetizing? *I spent black friday lazing around at home, what fantastic time spent saving money
I indulge myself on sushi whenever it’s payday. One serving is enough. That’s probably the only as close to raw food I can stomach.
Thanks but no. I didn't eat raw meat, the only acceptable raw that I eat are fruits and some vegetables
Don't eat chicken raw. It has the biggest health issue behind raw pork. You'll likely be safe 70% of the time, but it's still dangerous. If you really want to eat chicken close enough to raw, cut the chicken in very thinly. Then raise the oil's (or soup) temperature to 100 degrees Celcius (temperature of boiling water) and dangle those thinly cut chicken in it. Depending on how thinly you cut it, it can cook in just 10 seconds. Pull it out and serve as is. It will be extremely soft and still look like it's raw.
I'm chinese proceeds to eat parasite infested raw pork sounds really fancy and hard to cook imagine my horrible knife work and after deep-fry cleaning up
You can cut it thinly very easily if you freeze it first. Then, as the chicken thaws, you can run your knife along it. It is not completely hard and not completely soft, so it's easy to cut into very thin slices, similar to cutting cucumbers. Remember, as it thaws, not after it's completely thawed.
not really, i ate sushi tho...salmon is also good, eaten raw.... i don't even trust my vegetables raw...maybe cucumber and tomato fruits on the other hand, i like eaten raw, those which are cooked or baked (mostly apples and pineapples) mess my taste bud
No. I've read that people can eat raw eggs with only a very slight risk but I'm a big scaredy-cat so I don't do it.
