The difference is just few chapter of another character pov added I guess......Well, they did changed/editted few chapter order for good flow to read. But overall, we wont miss out anything from wn. The wn chapters are 400 more, I dont think sensei changed anything (the content) there. Also, LN is basically more complete coz it's for bigger public reading, and there's illustration too. I havent read the complete LN yet, but based on what people posted here and how Jpn LN usually is. I plan to buy the translated ones from jnovel, when all of them are available for kobo.
Oohhhhh~ well, i was hoping for few cute fermai moment but i know that this novel is not romance so I’m not too disappointed. Well, the moments in the WN are very impressive though. I think that is sufficient.
Also, how did the fanart of ferdinand with long hair emerge? Is it just people imagination or is it canon?
No need to double post- just edit your existing post. We will get reprimanded for doing it too often for some reason. At the moment- if you go to Jnovel subscription, they just start on vol 4 part 2 (YES... we're THAT far behind) because it's by part 4 the story really pick up the pace. as said by kaylee the difference in plot is almost nonexistent, it's basically a better written version of LN... in some parts there are extras- like how in Johann's POV of his assessment, there's after story where Johan brings his metal type to blacksmith guild to get himself certified and Zack appear for the first time in this SS. This is not on the WN, and SS of WN don't have them either. Second Kaylee on this I think it's because it's not a romance it's good- the romance don't really pick up until when it really matters. Also- it's Ferdinand and Main, do you think there would be any romance ever if they don't get separated by the end of part 4 and realize what a miserable life it is without each other? Also- Rosemain in part 5 is super scary, because by halfway she pretty much think turning the country upside down is worth it if she can get Ferdinand back in Ehrenfest. Funnily enough the royals never really think how dangerous it is for her to have the Glurisheight or how they keep getting on her nerve won't make her turn on them. Especially since she nearly kill them during the discussion from pent up frustration that at last explode. If the romance is taken seriously in this novel, it would get bloodier. Long hair Ferdinand? aaaah- in WN, they describe Evermein and King of Lanzenave as older Ferdinand with long hair... and there's a speculation that Ferdinand use to have a long hair like Jilvester but cut it since he doesn't want to look like Evermein.
Noted. I totally agree with your point regarding its bloodiness. I guess that what makes this novel better. Considering their personalities too.... i think there’s a lot of foreshadowing in between lines and if i squint i can see the sweetness between them. I think this little details are really precious. If its altered something in this precious relationship might change so let’s leave the sweet sweet moment to fandom imagination and creation.
Ah yeah... I get why it's confusing, especially since Jnovel also translate them by parts for subscriber. The manga foreshadow it with making their first meeting shoujo-esque. Miya Kazuki is a cruel writer, with the first major heart break with Damuel... readers learn to NOT trust her foreshadowing when it comes to pairing. Some pairing come out from SO OUT of the left field like Harmut X Clarissa. Honestly it's not until part 4 we just take Rosemain being around Ferdinand for granted and don't really feel the vibe until you reread them back. It's not until part 5 people around them notice something is not "ordinary" between Rosemain and Ferdinand. Funnily enough of all people, it's Muriella and Rulrhaldi (I am sure I spell her name wrong) who are VERY sure and fangirl over their romance first. Before- it's just Karlsted and Jilvester joking about it. In part 2 when she starts to get separated from her family (+ Lutz), as miserable as she is... she will turn to Ferdinand as her mental support, but when Ferdinand go- she cry alone and not seeking comfort from anyone. This is literally just hours ago Ferdinand try to make WIlfred take his role and she is there when he told them. So it's quite a tragedy when Wilfred of all people notice when Ferdinand check her health during territory competition. That's why he stare at them in shock during that time. Which also explains why all year long she is sending gifts and letter to Ferdinand, and pay NO attention to her fiance. It's quite pitiful because the contrast of treatment is so large, that even if Wilfred don't like Rosemain that way he is justified to feel hurt and offended. He takes more loses than win when it comes to their engagement in the end... all that stress and frustration. It also a pain to remember Ferdinand is the one who suggested the engagement FIRST- But I suppose taking over his role as fiance is sorta like taking responsibility...
Totally agree with you. I’m so happy to have someone to talk about this with me. Its very frustrating when I’m the only one who reads this magnificent piece of work at home and no one understand what I’m talking about. I really love those two.
You can go to wiki discord... well most of the time there's only four to five people there but better than here yeah? Also- Jnovel have forum but that's a no spoiler forum
I see This image represents perfectly how their romance not working so smoothly... Myne have a very textbook understanding about romance from what she read. No real life experience so she actually have no complete comprehension about it. In the other hand, Ferdinand is so awkward he is even worse than Rosemain because love is so far removed from rationality in his head. So what did he do? Follow what she wants to the letter- EXACTLY so... his creativity when it comes to romance is big fat zero. A library then a library city, he know this is her life long dream so he give her that point blank... then attach his own lab. How touching it is aside, that copy paste of her "ideal man" to the engagement stone... is like- he can't even be creative about it. You can say it work out for him, but for someone so artsy like him you'd expect him to be more creative but apparently not LOL
I can understand this. With discord, (since I intall on my phone, I'm not alw checking it) we have to wait for people to answer, and by the time they answer it's alr a while. And to scroll the previous message is also a hassle when using phone. I prefer pc, so I prefer forum like nu spoiler thread. I can't open the link. 403error it said So, Ferdinand is similar with the Evermein (whoever is this) and Main is looking like (one of) the goddess. Any picture of ling hair Ferdinand? Also, anyone has the picture/illustration of adult Main, or at least going adult Main? I'm having trouble imagine an adult man with a child body in romance (and it's a bit creepy, so I prefer to imagine adult Main) I prefer world building isekai like this rather than too deep romance, coz romance story is alw .... simple and plain.
There isn't any canon image of grown Rosemyne because the LN is still far away from there. Part 5 Volume 3 (which should come out in September) is only set to cover WN chapters 503-521 and her growing happens in WN chapter 584. However, there is always fan-art if you just want an image in mind, for example https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/80112640 @Fantasy-Magician Insert the image (https://i.imgur.com/Cdwxrh8.png) and not the album (https://imgur.com/a/OaGsyeE).
Major difference is that once publishing company is involved, it is a partnership between the editor and the author, so there are many inputs from the editor folded into the creation of LN. For example, in the first volume, editor requested to beef up the Urano episode so that there are more solid image of Urano character. Also, the beginning of the first chapter after the prologue was added to emphasize the author's idea that Urano is the separate consciousness floated to the surface in the reincarnated body of Myne, and it is not an instant take over of a dead body of Myne. P5V1 was very interesting that there was a last side story from the POV of Ortansia(sp?), the new academy librarian came from the central to help the librarian Solange who has been taking care of the library alone. Usually, those side stories add different POV to what we already know in the main story, add depth to other characters, and this one is mostly no different. But something very interesting was added to the very end of it. Spoiler: P5V1 SS mystery So we know that you need three keys to open the limited access book room where Rosemyne will go in with a prince to do the research on Gritlisheight. But, in the main story, they all just got keys and nothing significant there. But in LN, Solange start to say "It is not easy to obtain the key", and she says, "you have to become Guardian of Knowledge to be able to obtain the key in the special room". It is some very secret librarian thing that Ortansia never heard of. After many explanations, Solange conduct ritual to goddess of knowledge to register Ortansia. Key appears out of the statue of the goddess, and the key gets absorbed into Ortansia and disappears. It was super weird to read about this new concept which was not mentioned in the main story at all, which never happened with such side stories before. Very curious to see what kind of role does "Guardian of Knowledge" plays in the future volumes.
Hmm looks like J-Novel Club should reach the action climax of Part 2 Volume 4 next week. Wonder whether they are going to end it on a horrible cliffhanger (before Ferdinand turns up), end right before the end (just as Karstedt and Sylvester turn up), or adapt it all in one (but that'd be big release).
They are chugging along with three chapters a part so it will be. And after that, it will cliffhang right before the "good bye".
