Didn't know this before. If i only entered it and one anime page, am i still safe or do i need to change my passwords? Or something else?
Cant believe this is my first post.
Why is no one reporting it? So the original won't be taken down?

If you entered your password in a phishing site, yes its compromised so make sure not to use it elsewhere and change anything that uses that password. As for why it's still up, it's a Russian domain and it's kinda hard to get anything done through the legal system when dealing with pirate sites like kiss.

I don't think you can watch anime on myanimelist, or has it changed?

********** has a few different sites on google. Which is the real one?

    Gogo anime 5
This is the one I use.
In myanimelist you can watch them but there are some missing anime. Just search for the anime you wish for, scroll down and see if you see any videos saying ep 1 or etc.
If they have the anime videos you can watch the anime.

That's true, to get real apps that actually make your device safe are the ones which were installed from the very beginning. + They usually are something like a firewall or even an icon as a shield. Most of the time they cost money:cry::cry::cry:

They tell you if a site is secure or not, preventing entering in the first place.

First, if you believe your computer was compromised then you should run an antivirus and change passwords wherever you reuse it. Second, I have not heard the .ru site itself is a phishing scam before. I have, however, heard of it having ads with viruses and ripoffs (.io, .com etc.) that are phishing scams. afaik, .ru is the original site.

Hopefully the mods are openminded enough to ignore this thread. OP is clearly chiefly concerned about whether they fell for a phishing scam as opposed to advocating aggregators.

Doesn't the browser show a red screen, warning you you're entering a phishing site?

Exactly what the above said, adblockers can still save you from malicious code by blocking the ads that have said code, or at least that's what I thought.

That's a really bold proclamation. Not even Google Chrome accurately identifies malicious websites and yet somehow some random dude that wrote a plugin manages to do that? Care to elaborate?

That alone already depends on the implementation of the adblocker. Does it block ads from being loaded, or does it remove them after loading and scanning them? An important distinction. Those ads generally only need to be executed once to do whatever they do. So your standard adblocker that removes ads after they are loaded is generally useless.

Not to mention that for websites like the one we are talking about it has no effect at all, since the website itself is doing the phishing. The only way for an adblocker to prevent that, would be to block the complete website... Which it obviously doesn't.

Considering the safety concern, I will leave the thread open. Just this time. Those who mentioned other aggregators site will get warning tho.

Also, it's best for OP to just clean his/her cache, do some scan, and change passwords. Better be safe.

I just wanted to tell you that you can use Crunchyroll to watch animes. It's free and it is an official site, differently from kiss.
