So I've just spent a bunch of time setting up various VM's to test some stuff with, and have been having quite a lot of fun finding cool and chunni names for each of my computers. So far, I have "Hyper Deracinator" for my main computer, "Burst Hyperion" and "The Abyss" for my laptops, and then I've just dubbed the new VM I've got running as "Hime-sama" since I couldn't think of anything else that was edgy... So what do you name your computers? Phones count too.
you are so pervy....a xxx wan't enough you had to double it....how many terabyte of porn are you storing there?....
Well, you seem to be having fun and that is good When I run a virtual lab or network, I name the machines something simple and easy to remember, something like: Ubuntu-machine-1 or DNS-server, VM1, etc... well, as I said, simple names
My current laptop is named GAMER-TIME. The one I had before then was just _My Name_'s computer though. Pretty boring.
I don't name my computers, and I think it's odd that people name inanimate objects. If I had a need to name them I would just give them numbers.
Right? but when it is easy to remember what does what, and what is installed on which machine like that
It's just a Windows Default Name, with all random Letters replaced with X for privacy reasons I'm not a perv!
I used to just number them, but when I have 20 devices listed in the network it's a bit easier to remember what's what if I give them unique names.
