I'd like to ask: is the manga doing well? I heard there was a dispute between the author and the publisher and whether it continues or not is based on the sales. I'm really loving the series since it gives me Black Butler vibes and the writing is AMAZING so far!
Might be possible. I mean it should have been generally known by now that genderbend always needs to mix with romance. Otherwise its only an accessory

I meant more in the line. The exciting part with genderbend tag is. When mc gets confronted with his friends and she keeps it as a secret knowing them as a guy. Or romance is involved. Of course this novel doesnt have romance tag if i recalled it right. Nowadays there are more and more genderbend stories but without romance, even though its very important. Ofc the author might have been going for bl pts to attract readers, but considering mc is still a shota.... dunno
Pokes thread because after reading all the MTL, I want to read a spoilers discussion... V4 Hershe gets sent to war. Hershe falls off a cliff. The king goes mad. The PM liked Hershe's mom??? The need to talk about it is strong.
It's been ages since I finished reading the raws... IIRC the thing with the PM and Hersherick's mom is because she too saw that he had the potential to be of great help to the kingdom and felt sorrowful that he chose power instead of helping their people. Hersherick's actions remind him of that simple girl that although had absolute no backing, was noble (in the wholesome, upright sense of the word) and could see through him. The king goes mad when stuff happens to Hershe exactly because Hershe is just like her and she was his true love. Although all the royal family is a big bunch of cinnamon rolls (Hershe's bros and sis care about him too), most of their relationships started as arranged political marriages. Also, this is no romance for the MC until the end IIRC (Unless there was another vol after V5??). The romance only happens between the side characters~
Does anyone have spoilers about what happens between Hersche and the kids at the orphanage after volume 2? In the latest translated chapters (specifically the chara descriptions), the author said that Rick’s (?) hatred for all aristocrats was transferred to Hersche and that he would appear again later on
Well, it says so in V2, but Marquis Ordis(Iran's father) takes care of them Later after V3, the Prime Minister's daughter disowns herself and joins the orphanage. Then it is mentioned early in V6 that the children are being taught to take the exam for the academy and that they all pass. So all the kids of age there are going to go to the academy. And yeah, Rick still hates Hershe because he feels that Hershe is responsible for the baron's death. Although it's also said that his hatred is sort of directed to Hershe the same way Oran's hatred toward Marcus was. I think that's it about the orphanage children.

Well, it's not done yet, and I don't think it'll be done too soon. V6 was just completed, and I'm not sure how many more volumes there will be. Oh, but V7 is going to be the school arc apparently. As for memorable scenes... In the short story collection, there's one where Hershe cross-dressed, and he captured the hearts of two kids. Those two kids are also mentioned in the prologue of V3. Also, you remember how in V2, Hershe taught Oran the short-cut to the red light district? It comes back in V6. They find out who taught Hershe the short-cut and it's really funny. There was also some foreshadowing in a short story that there was going to be black, orange, white, red, blue and green following Hershe along. Red and blue come along in V5, they're shown on the cover. Red is a tactical military genius and blue is a bird type beastman with blue wings. Green shows up in V6, but doesn't yet join Hershe (but I'm pretty sure he will soon). He's the one who told Hershe about the short-cut and he's somewhat similar to Kuro? He gathers information. Its also revealed that he's the illigetimate son of the former Prime Minister. The most heartrending moment was in V6, with all of Kuro's backstory. The reason why he grew so attached to Hershe was because he resembled his dead family. Oh right, Red and Blue are a couple!
