    As the title said, me, I'm 17 years old, a college student and yet people around me look so mature and adult like figure and face and yet me, I look like a 6th grade student!!!!
    Why why!! Some of them also have the same height as me but yet, I still look childish..

    Ok, what about you guys..are you guys look mature or younger at your current age?

    I probably look 30 even though i'm 22. Meh, just grow out some beard or something but not too much or you look like a pedo.

    Plus, while i do act childish, being mature is to take an action with calmness and the correct responds to a situation. You don't need to be right but just to be good enough to get the answer. Maturity is made of people's experience over the years and you'll act like an adult if you experience it hard enough and handle it calmly.

    When I was sixteen people seriously thought I was 26. When I was 26 people thought I looked 16. I gave up trying to understand ‘apparent age’ after that.

    i once had the same thought as you. i know how it feels to see people around you so 'mature' while you were just regarded as the kid. a little bit annoying, but you know what, just enjoy it while it lasts. it has its own charms and benefits hehe. in college, some (not all of them ) of my 'mature' friends told me due to their mature look and the fact they're already in college, it subconsciously made them feel the need to act maturely, while they're actually not as mature as they would like to think. so, sometimes they kinda jealous saw me being so carefree and childish. most of the time, i could say it was all just a facade, especially for kids who're just entering college. the need to be seen as an adult is strong. besides, they only look mature. doesn't mean they are truly mature. maturity comes from knowledge and experience.

    Its better to have 17 look at 35 than have 35 look at 17. Accepting who you are and not comparing yourself to other people is one step away from self loathing and depression. You are fine.

    The easiest thing to do is to grow some facial hair. You could also try to change your look by changing your hairstyle, wearing different clothes, etc. Try doing various things and figure out what works best for you in regards to looking more mature. In addition to that, you have to have the right attitude. Try being more calm and patient since those are good signs of maturity. After doing all that, get some opinions from your family and friends to see how well it worked or if there are ways to improve further. Give it a try and good luck!

    I was always pretty big. So most people thought I was in my 20s. Even when I was in middle school.

    Honestly it's like trying to guess whether a high schooler is a freshman or a senior or something. It's actually really hard because everyone's appearance matures around different times, I think.

    Also, more people play dragcave here than I'd expect haha

    As long as you act mature it’ll be fine. Helps if you dress the part too

    (No useful, practical info here:blobsleepless::blobcozy:)

    As an incredibly short person, I often wonder the same thing. But I’m still growing, so either I grow taller, much, much taller to be able to look just as much if not more mature than other people.

    If I couldn’t grow taller, it’s still fine. I’m just gonna adjust my attitude according to the situation.

    I’ve always been nagged at to be more mature/ sensible but I honestly don’t wanna and won’t ever give up my childishness. Life ain’t fun if I’m forcing myself and I don’t see the purpose of living a forced life.

    Ok, rant over.

    17 year olds are children to college students. You just left home, most likely. Wait until you are a senior. By then you will probably be more confident

    Not anymore. I used to look older, since I had a mustache since 5th grade, but I stopped growing in Junior High. I haven't had to change my wardrobe since 6th(?) grade... I don't want to say how long that's been... just know I'm older than you.
