When I tried to access either of them I was greeted by a message saying: All files are taken down by copyright owners. The site will be closed forever. Thank you for your supports. This will be a huge blow to streaming anime online and reading manga too. First was novelplanet now these two followed. The Japanese governmet enforced a policy for Anti-piracy measures and piracy sites are being taken down like the ones I mentioned. This will affect Anime streaming and Manga readinng by a large margin, why?: 1. Companies like Netflix and co. will strike a deal to stream and you'll have to pay a good sum of money to watch and as for manga you'll have to buy them or read online on whichever website the scan team is on e.g Reaperscans,Zeroscans e.t.c 2 . -redacted- and manga had the largest database for anime and manga unlike other websites which have a small database yet you have to pay for them. 3. They were easily accesible and had a nice comment section and features like bookmarking e.t.c I had some good years with these websites and it'll never be the same without these two websites: R.I.P -redacted- and -redacted- F....
I’m so sad that the site is close ! I use it all the time! I can’t believe it!! Although there’s some websites I use aside from it, my favorite will always be -redacted- and -redacted-!!
And another one kisses the dust. And from what I've garnered, they being taken down has more to do with them being found hosted on google servers (and google's consequent nuking of them) than the recent JP copyright laws.
You exaggerate, there has and always will be lots of sites available for streaming or reading manga, just because it affects you a lot since you like the site does not mean it's important on the whole. Netflix and co already have anime deals and exclusives on their sites not to mention crunchyroll/funimation. In your opinion Kiss was easily accessible but I've always hated the Kiss site because I found it unwiedly. Lastly they didn't have the largest database because I'm pretty sure that title belongs to what I remember to be the longest running anime site -redacted- which for some reason has managed to survive from the very beginning of offering anime streaming on the internet though tbf I've stopped using it since it's interface is a pile of shit really.
crunchyroll would think their revenue would skyrocket but most of its anime is blocked in my country lol
good thing i left -redacted- on one of those times when they went down or something, mangadex doesn't host licensed stuff so it might survive longer though
I stil remember when I was using the school computers to watch anime and found an ad for -redacted- it also was what interest docked me to manga has at the time I thought anime was there was
Highly Unlikely, novelupdates is too different. I agree with you but -redacted- was terrible for mobile. all of those ads prevented me from actually playing the video and endless cycle of trying to closed redirect fast enough to actually use it.
I’ve never really used either site except for once: in order to watch Saiunkoku Monogatari which wasn’t available anywhere else. That was it. So this doesn’t really effect me unless I want to watch Saiunkoku again and there’s still no other way to watch it...
use this....[redacted] even tought i can't post aggregators names and link on NUF, since this thread already violate those rules there isn't any more harm adding another one....imo is better than -redacted- since i can still use adblock there....
^This. -redacted- was overblown and already going quite stupid with random ban sprees and blocking adblockers on their ad-bloated pages. This is a hydra issue. they knock one high profile one down, a couple of low profile ones will pop up in it's place.
