Yep. Though it might be every five years, and Tiara's is the one with three-year intervals...I don't remember. :notlikeblob: I haven't got to the story arc where that's calculated yet (just skimmed it), but I do know that Tiara's visions are more frequent. I'll let you know for certain when I get there. :blobpats:

    21 Castle Arc (chapters 581-587) - Filler
Tippett rescues Adam from the collapsed tower. Val plays a prank on Pryde and Leon. Val receives an award for his service. Gilbert interrogates Pryde over her association with Adam while brainwashed.

22 Heir to the Throne Arc (chapters 588-617.1) - Filler (90% flashback episode)
Tiara rejects Cedric's proposal. The Queen weighs Pryde and Tiara's suitability for the throne. Cedric negotiates to keep Tiara in Freesia.

    23 War's End Arc (chapters 618-637.6)
Pryde reports her precognitive achievements to the Queen for consideration. The Rajya Empire pays penalties for the broken peace treaty. Arthur reconnects with the other knights. The Queen honors Arthur, Leon and Cedric for their contributions to the war with the Rajya Empire.

Ugh... I feel so sorry for King Lance and King Joan... Cedric really is an idiot when it comes to love. He's easily Pryde-level oblivious. :notlikeblob: The only salvation in the future is that once he figures it out, his perfect memory will have him kicking himself for the entire rest of his life.

Also, I love Pryde's bodyguards who don't trust Val not to take certain liberties with Pryde without a chaperone. :blobjoy: They act like Val's not perfectly comfortable putting on a show in front of a room full of people. :blobpopcorn_cool:

Anyway, about the rate of prediction. Tiara is twice a year. Pryde's is "very sparse," sometimes a couple times in one month, sometimes every few years. (Sorry about the confusion; it came up between sections detailing the rate of prediction of previous queens, and I got mixed up. :blobtired:)

Only 4 more story arcs in Part One. (Dance party next, woohoo! :blobparty::blobparty::blobparty:)

What did he do? You mean like in general, or just in this case? :blobunsure: His usual thing is being in love with and 1000% devoted to Tiara, but the downside is that he doesn't notice Tiara's feelings at all. Well, she's a bit of a tsundere, and his first experience with love, so you can excuse it...but literally everybody knows Tiara's feelings except for Cedric, and also Pryde. :blobxd:

As for why Tiara rejected Cedric's engagement proposal (the fiancé candidate one), it's because Tiara just came out as a person with precognition, thus making her Pryde's rival for the throne. Whoever loses will have to get their special ability sealed with a contract, married out of the kingdom, and basically exiled to stave off the possibility of a civil war over successorship. Tiara told Cedric she couldn't marry him because she thought she was going to have to leave Freesia, and he still has that job there with the international postal service.

So yeah, the fact that Cedric came up with a suggestion for Tiara to remain in Freesia even with precognitive ability, without endangering Pryde's claim to the throne, is a big deal. (And he's too busy trying to make Tiara happy to notice that now makes him still in the running. :blobjoy:)

    24 Celebration Arc (chapters 638-666)
Pryde dances at the celebration (dance partners: Stayle, Leon, Cedric, Knight Commander Roderick, Guardsman Jack, and Arthur). The Queen formally announces Tiara's special ability and grants Tiara a position to continue to support Pryde. Pryde attends a less formal after-party arranged by Stayle and Tiara and dances until collapse (dance partners: Captain Alain, Arthur, Captain Colm, Deputy Captain Eric, Deputy Captain Harrison, Val, more than a dozen unnamed knights, Stayle, and then Leon, followed by more knights, RIP Pryde's feet :blobsalute:). The after-party continues til dawn.

25 License Confusion Arc (chapters 667-672.1) - Filler
The Queen encourages Pryde and Tiara to reconsider fiancé candidates given the change in circumstances. Pryde reveals the names of her fiancé candidates. Arthur has a long talk with Knight Commander Roderick about keeping secrets.

    26 *Body Arc (chapters 673-685.1) - Filler
Pryde and Leon go sightseeing in Anemone to reassure the people. Val repairs the secret passage in the Queen's chambers that was damaged during the brainwash arc. Colm, Alain and Harrison renew their vows to Pryde. Cedric has a practice match with the knights. Tiara, Stayle and Arthur celebrate Pryde's birthday.
*Called this for simplicity. Originally named "Shusoku Arc"

    27 Successor Arc (chapters 686-693) - Filler
Pryde is finally able to officially announce the two projects she's been spearheading since the Sinner Arc (four years ago), the school system, and the international postal service, at her birthday celebration. Pryde has a revelation about the school and the possibility that Adam and Tippett are still alive. Val delivers another shipment of roses from Leon. Pryde officially welcomes Kemet and Sefek as students of the newly created school. Pryde announces her intention to attend the school and prevent the tragedy of the next game.

100%, absolutely, you must never miss the Celebration Arc. Val who gets strong-armed into attending a dance party, wearing formal clothes that he hates, acting as Pryde's escort when there are more appropriate choices nearby, and finally being forced out onto the dance floor with her when he can't dance...the entire arc is a treasure. :blobjoy: And finding out the identity of the second of three secrets Val is allowed to keep is...:blob_blush: (and in the Body Arc, we learn the third!)

Also, for those wondering, the Body Arc is where we get the major Pryde/Arthur/Stayle OT3 scene. So there is that. (The Body Arc just has food for all ships, okay. :blobpopcorn:)

And that's the end of Part One.

Part Two only has 2 arcs completed thus far (we're in the middle of the third arc), and there's less than 100 chapters left before I catch up, so it won't be long. Think of what kind of spoilers you want now, because if you leave it to me it'll probably be a Val dump. With some Harrison included. :blob_coffee:

    Part Two
    28 Preparation Arc (chapters 01-11.1)
Pryde persuades the Queen to let her infiltrate the school incognito. Stayle and Gilbert recruit a school infiltration force. Pryde attends the school enrollment ceremony. Pryde, Stayle and Arthur prepare for infiltration.

    29 School Arc (chapters 12-25)
Pryde scolds Val for being a problem student. Stayle reunites with Powell for the first time since the Sinner Arc. Pryde, Stayle and Arthur sit a placement exam. Stayle meets a lot of familiar faces.

I was so worried that Val would barely appear in the middle school arc, I'm so relieved!!! :blobmelt: Poor Val, being a kid again. (But it's funny that his biggest complaint is the sheer amount of high schoolers that want to get intimate with a 14-year-old Pryde. :blobhero:)

It seems like Part Two is going to reveal a lot about Stayle's background. :cookie: All but three characters introduced thus far are people that Stayle knows, and excluding Powell, people that Stayle knows from before he was adopted by the royal family. I do wonder who the heroine of the second game is, though. Is it Tiara again, or Tippett, or Amulet? :blobunsure: Are Tippett and Amulet the same person? :blobconfused: The writing is really unclear!

    To explain my confusion:
The game has at least three volumes, treated as an alternate universe, or "IF" games. The second game focuses on a tragedy at the school founded by Gilbert three years after the death of "Pryde." For some reason, Queen Tiara has to use Gilbert's age-regression ability to hide in the school as a student. (Since Tiara isn't romantically attached to anyone in the second game, Tiara either went the non-existent Neutral Good ending, or she went the Gilles route, since that's more familial than romantic. Pryde suspects the Gilles ending.) That's the setup.

The Amulet/Tippett protagonist argument is that, at school, Pryde wants to get closer to Amulet, who is currently displaying classic Female Protagonist behavior, ie, no interest in rumored-about handsome men. Only, every single chapter before Amulet's appearance, Pryde referred to Tippett as the protagonist, and referenced things that you could do in the game with Tippett's transparency special ability.

It's really confusing. Like, Pryde, I know you only played the game "once," but you should at least remember this much!!! :blob_catflip:

Powell, by the way, is the hidden character from the third game--and Pryde's favorite. Lots of fangirl moments going on. :blobrofl:

OK trying to see if I understand where things are. The queen is still alive in this TL, Pryde is still crown princess but Gilbert age regressed her??? so she can attend middle school?

Yep, in a nutshell. Pryde was looking through the paperwork on the school and recognized the name of the academy/program (she wasn't involved at the naming level) and realized that was the setting of the second game. And since she remembered that a "tragedy" occurs in each game (though nothing quite as earthshaking as in the first Last-Boss-Pryde game), she wanted to save them, following her "nobody unhappy in Freesia" mission statement.

However, Pryde only played the game "once," so she doesn't know everything that happens in the game. So she convinced the Queen to let her go on a month-long reconnaissance mission to the school (at a less-recognizable age) to see what details she could remember before the situation becomes dire. There's still three years until the second game's story comes up, so they have time, and in the meanwhile Pryde can save more people to add to her harem.

I thought she had only played the first game -and that everything else would be now related to her precognition (still somehow in game parameters)..
But if i understood correctly, basically Pryde is following the second game setting instead of Tiara? Doesn’t it means she would actually be the heroine? Or would it mean Tiara was just supposed to be a mob character?

    i’m confusing myself

Right!? The way the second game is set up, with Tiara single and aged down to attend high school, it sounds like she should be a major character at least...but Pryde doesn't say anything about it more than "Tiara was a student." Instead, the heroine is either Amulet or Tippett, or some random extra person the next time Pryde changes her mind. :notlikeblob:

Apparently before reincarnation, our Pryde became a fan of a anime which was based on the third game in the series. So she bought and played the third game like 100 times, mostly because she loved Powell's character and wanted to see him happy. (Hence her fangirl behavior.) She didn't get the first or second game until later, and according to her (highly unreliable) testimony, she only played the second and first games "once." I'm assuming that means she completed everyone's route once, because otherwise it makes no sense. :hmm:

Also, Pryde isn't playing the heroine, because the second game doesn't start until high school, and the characters are all currently middle schoolers. Only met two capture targets so far (one from a distance, the second the character currently being rescued in the Brothers Arc), the other two either haven't enrolled in school yet, or are in a different class.

It’s pretty confusing, especially with the age regression. We have a 19 yo Pryde that looks like a 14 yo or maybe she’s 14 with the mind of a 19 yo? She may or may not be an important character, we don’t know what’s Tiara’s role in it but tbh now i just want to see Pryde save Game 2’s villainess. Villain saves the villain is my favorite trope :blobtaco:

then the real question is... is it legal for her to add 14 yo to her harem because she’s now somewhat 14?

Pryde, Arthur and Stayle were reverted to 14 years old with Gilbert's special ability (Val got reverted to 18 and is a high schooler). Their cover is Captain Alain's niece and nephews, since he apparently has more than ten siblings, so they're all cousins (Val of course is an orphan like half those in the dorms). They are all the same mentally; the age regression doesn't affect their special ability's current level, it's just a purely physical change.

The harem expanding for Croy and Dios would be problematic if Pryde didn't treat them both as little brothers (I know that "Croy" should be translated as "Chloe," but I categorically refuse). Them having a one-sided crush on Pryde isn't any different than the entire Knight division fixating on an 11-year-old Pryde. (Dios, by the way, is the hidden target character; Croy is his twin brother, and a mob character.)

Honestly, if anything's problematic, it's the number of high schoolers who heard rumors about a cute redhead girl in middle school and decided to get a group of them together to pressure her into "entertaining" all of them. :blob_thor: Luckily, Val was there to kick the ringleader out of the fourth-storey window :blob_pompom:, but it's still being talked about (Arthur ran off the second gang, but Val heard rumors of a third only a day or two later). I'm waiting for Val to glue himself to Pryde's side, because that's the only way to keep the creeps away.

Also, I would be more open to Pryde saving the villainess if said villainess didn't just physically threaten Gilbert's 3-year-old daughter. Step away from Stella, lady! :blobpoliceangry:

Val is up to his third proposal now. :blobuwu: Used to be that his catchphrase was "I'm a slave for you" but now it's "If you run away, call me." :blobmelt: I love that the second secret that Val is allowed to keep is his feelings, intentions and actions towards Pryde. :blobxd:

Val is the best love interest in this harem, truly. Stayle and Arthur might be more likely, and Powell is this black horse who came up out of nowhere, but Val cares about her, feels protective of her, protects everything Pryde considers important (ie, people's lives), and is flirty enough to be interesting. (He's also come the closest to pushing Pryde down and actually meaning it, shame it was in the middle of a room full of knights.) If the story's rating was just a little higher, there would be no question who the main love interest was. :blobcry:

Okay, after rereading a few things, Amulet is almost certainly the protagonist of the second game. Tippett is also a protagonist, but which game she's the protagonist of is currently unknown. :blobdizzy: (It's probably not the third game, though, because if Pryde forgot the protagonist of her favorite game, I will transmigrate just to strangle her. :notlikeblob: So there's a minimum of four games in the series.)

That being the case, I wonder why Pryde decided to look for Tippett and Adam at the school. (Well, she was remembering an entire series she's only half-familiar with at once, so I guess it's reasonable to focus on the only location you can remember. :hmm: Also, considering how many times Adam and Tippett show up before the brainwash arc, it's reasonable to expect them. I mean, the only major arc they don't appear in is the Gilbert Arc. :blobjoy:)

On a slightly different note, I went back to reread my two favorite arcs (Knights and Sinners) to see if Val's age ever comes up, and it turns out that he's 7 years older than Pryde. :blob_coffee: So he was 18 in the Knights Arc, and by the time Part Two comes around, he's 26.

Arthur is 2 years older than Pryde, Leon is 1 year older than Pryde, Cedric is Pryde's age and Stayle is 1 year behind Pryde. The only one whose age we don't know is Gilbert, if only because he doesn't know it. :hmm: Something about being a homeless orphan who got his special ability early before Marianne's family picked him up. :blobthinkingsmirk: (Supposedly he's five years younger than Pryde's father, but since Dad didn't drop his age either...)

Edit: Did the math. Dad was 29 when the story started, so he's 40 at the start of Part Two. The Queen is three years younger than him, and Uncle Wes and Gilbert are two years below her.

Yeah, right now Adam's current condition is really ambiguous. :blobtired: At the end of the brainwash arc, he should have died because he was at point-blank range when a bomb went off that collapsed a section of the torture tower. The knights spent weeks sifting through rubble looking for his body, and Adam was officially declared dead to the Rajya Empire. :blob_tilt:

However. He was with Tippett at the time, hidden by Tippett's special ability--which isn't "invisibility," as we'd been led to believe until this point, but "transparency." Which in this case means that on top of being invisible, she (and anyone she touches) also becomes incorporeal. Therefore, both Adam and Tippett survived the explosion. :blobcurse:

What makes Adam's current condition ambiguous, though, is his last scene. Adam wakes up while Tippett is carrying him away from the castle, and is his usual "charming" self, issuing death threats, going on about monsters, etcetera. He doesn't shut up until Tippett stabs him.

So Adam should be dead now, but his body still hasn't been confirmed even a year later (and they looked). So his situation is still ambiguous. :hmm:

Pryde knows that Tippett, being a person with the transparency special ability and the protagonist of a game, is certainly alive. And until this point, Tippett has been working for Adam, and she did rescue Adam from the explosion. So assuming that the two are still together is logical for Pryde and the rest.

Even if they're not together, though, if Adam's alive, he's a threat. Because all he needs is to get his hands on one person with the right "qualities," and he'll have a follower who's zealous about keeping him alive. :blobsalt:

If you're asking about why Adam had his grubby hands all over the other acts, though... he's the Crown Prince of the Rajya Empire, the center of the slave trade, and the special ability people in Freesia are premium products. And Freesia and Anemone's alliance was a hindrance because Anemone didn't (at the time) forbid the ownership of slaves, and as the trading capital of the world basically shipped the Empire's merchandise everywhere. Anemone was also half the reason the Rajya went to war against Hanazuo, the other half being that Hanazuo's specialty is gold and other precious metals (it is literally built on a mine full of the stuff, which is why Sirsis and Chinansis allied together in the first place, for survival).
