If human athletes can lose their virginity through exercise, how come in every cultivation novel, every girl the mc touches is a virgin, aren’t they doing things like flying at 200 m/s and fighting dragons and stuff?

 

I guess if they're cultivators they've got strengthened bodies or something. It's also possible that most of the movement isn't so much physical exertion as it is magic xianxia powers.

I think why in novels every girl the mc touches is a virgin is because, the authors simply just like virgins

Nope, IRL the hymen breaks because they exert force with their legs and it tears apart, but they are still virgins, and the cultivation novels are even more specific with the purity of their energy as the proof of virginity, a woman could get her lower half blown up and then regenerate without a hymen but her pure energy would classify her as a virgin

Hymes are basically random pieces of meat without any real use at all. I'm pretty sure that whenever someone enters the cultivation stage of *exuding impurities* they lose their hymens as well.

 

Or they regenerate with healing pills anyway. Had a discussion about it once, the daughter of Wolverine from X-men, that healing factor 'restores the body' to its original condition. Would that mean she'd always grow back her hymen if she was a virgin before awakening her power?

Same reason why even though the girl is the hottest girl in the entire city/country, but is not that strong yet no one touches them until the MC shows up. Then everyone in the city is after them.

You just gotta accept that these girls sole purpose of existence is the MC. They simply appeared into the universe the moment the MC shows up and the universe corrects itself pretending they always lived there.

 

Depends on how that power works. Just like how the thin hair you had as a mustache when u were a teen became thicker once you shaved for the first time, *regeneration* should follow the guide that our DNA has for what and how something should be repaired.

Women don't regrow their hymens after having sex, so I don't think that regeneration would heal her hymen.

It didn't actually become thicker, it's that the hair grows from the follicle with the initial ends being thin and the base thick. Then when you shave the end would be the same thickness as the base as it keeps growing. (try tweasing it and it'll become thin again).

And yes, normal regeneration should follow that route, but that's for people that get scar tissue or where broken bones heal poorly and they don't 'reset' to their state of prime health. Most regeneration characters in fiction also tend to live pretty much forever or at least centuries.
Even though normally cells could only divide a max number of times and you'd 'wear out'. So these powers are almost more along the lines of turning back time to their prime state.

(example came to mind: Deadpool, regenerates everything, even the shit that makes him hideous to look at. So his 'regeneration' actually impedes a 'healing' by certain standards.)

Also: Hair follicles don´t perpetually grow either. They have growth phases and ultimately die before being replaced by a new one. And yet, they don´t become thinner when they do.
