More logical option is not necessarily correct one. In matter of fact Making "logical" assumption without knowing full context is called "jumping conclusion"

Next time instead of assuming other party is wrong you should give honest WTF reaction and let them be entertained by your confusion and learning something new in process

 

I think a large contributor of this, as said before, is due to the system of cultivation where every tribulation is deadly so they had to be intelligent but also the fact that cultivation exists in a modern world. Senior White also stated how much the world changes while he was closing up.

It's not that the cultivators are techno-geniuses (but they are brilliant because many inventions had the same functions as cultivation tools), but they have to adapt and overcome - lmao - in order to catch up with the times. Lest they die from nukes or miss out from everyone enjoying the convenience of modern technology.

 

Not that the cultivation world doesn’t experience setbacks, mind you. The time of the Heavenly Court being one example. But all the big shots at the top cultivating away from the general world of cultivators definitely are always striving to make progress if they’re not just resting on their laurels.

 

Making a logical assumption is better than making a WTF assumption that has no basis.

Another aspect was the cultivators in CCG are aware of their own limitations. No one dares to say they know everything, despite being among the best.

There is always something that they don't know and need to ask someone else. And they don't have any problem using solutions provided by mortals, as long as it works.

This open-mindedness helps them to keep on progressing instead of suffering stagnation.

BH Song at some point did take SS's seed and then it ended up in Sixteen's hands. In fact, it is implied that she impregnated herself using that rather than actually going through the process with SS, so there really is nothing there to suggest that they had intercourse.
