just finished binging to catch up yesterday. this story is so good. really appreciating it. bit saddened by his master's death in spite of how fitting it was. wish he could do something to manifest her similarly to the old ghost.
the idea of a romance wouldn't bother me at all, but it doesn't seem like it fits this arc. he feels like he is still finding himself now.
I was guessing it would be The Alchemist before because of how much screentime she got recently (novel) and her devotion to mc but it seems that the actual heroine hasnt been introduced yet so it could be saintess. Btw the artstyle and choice of colors in the adaptation are so niceee
his later reminiscences of them do get rather dark so I imagine the author is trying to stay light on the darkness. it's actually something I appreciate about this story. it rides that thin line for me where it gives the edgier elements the gravitas they should have without drowning in it.
oh god, the manhwa is funny as hell. I am glad the person doing it decided to keep and in some cases sharpen the humor.
wow so its not the alchemist?????? .................................. kind of dont wanna continue now......................................... guessing main heroine is gonna be the strongest guild leader, most beautiful woman in the tower (and probably world), and a pure virgin who's never had a bf before and falls for MC at first sight because of his fearlessness of death.....
Plot twist, it'll be the Saintess that tried to poison the fire dude, and she happens to be the granddaughter of that old guy trying to set him up. Would explain her trying to kill him anyway (since he mysteriously 'disappeared'). Although that bad-ass clan leader does give off major ship vibes.
Spoiler: Heroine Info She's a girl named Raviel Ivansia and she is on the 25th floor. If you have read up until chapter 88, you would know that the 25th floor is basically a generic shoujo romance novel about a heroine taking the male lead from the villainess. But in this case, the villainess becomes so jealous of the heroine and the male lead that she releases devils onto the world. Raviel is that villainess in the story. Not gonna lie though, the romance in this novel is shit. The MC fell in love with the heroine in like 0.000001 seconds and he became super obsessed with her. It's one of the main reasons that a lot of readers thought that the 2nd half(chapters 200-400) was bad. (Well it's this and that fact that the novel becomes super boring at many parts in the second half).
Yeah, they had alot of moments before going to the library floor Sword emperor got me laughing in the novel and is doing the same in the manhwa, love his interactions with Gong-ja
uh... wow when i heard people saying romance was a core part of the story i imagined it would be well written... i wish he just would get with alchemist or even black witch at this point :/
Anyone know which chapter chapter 20 in the manwha is equivalent to in the novel, also, is there anything significant that has been skipped over? Unless there's some big difference I'd prefer to just continue from where the manwha translation is at
ehh couldn't quite tell you where it is, probably pretty early from what I remember, but I don't remember any major differences. it's been pretty loyal to the plot. only minor deviations so far.
