I agree that’s a cruel fate but again, Light & Shadow trilogy gives more realistic portrayal of ancient age as it’s indeed more harsh than other fluff stories.. Spoiler Agnes’s death is the last push to make Jessica realizes that she’s indeed the true successor of Northeon. Her father educates her with the successor’s standard and all the way she needs is her own will. In the middle of escape from Frederick pursuit, Jessica then decides she will take Northeon’s throne herself. Spoiler At the end she’ll be the queen of two countries, Northeon and Earl’s world
Wow that was some serious stuff. The raws are being updated super fast but to hell with the english translation only half of the raws were translated. BTW anymore spoilers about how queen feels when the king gets poisoned. She felt really concerned, but keeps supporting princesses from her country
Hmm what happened with Katrina are both understandable & kinda annoying IMO.. In the novel, she was wed to an old king of Northeon, the previous one before Jessica’s father, and he was described as a complete pervert Spoiler That he was seriously damaging Katrina’s feminine organ thus make her unable to bear children.. My impression is not only beating but real perv sexual behavior and perhaps including various toys, please cmiiw She felt resentment to her brother, current Nefarna’s king as well as Michaela & Juana’s father, as he’s the one who decided her marriage with that old king.. But she can’t bring herself up to look beyond Northeon’s identity when she sees Agnes & Jessica.. She doesn’t look at them as a personal being/individual, she thinks that they’re the same Northeon that bring misery to her life Spoiler Perhaps you read manhwa raws around ch 45ish & recall Archibishop Angelo? He’s together with Michaela planned the poisoning of Cayden.. Katrina is a woman of faith too who often consult a few things with Archibishop & takes his advise into action But after Agnes’ death and Katrina meets Jessica in the palace, she can looks beyond prejudice and knows that like her, Jessica & Agnes are hurt by first night ceremony as it makes girls’ mom took her life After that, Katrina will try to lure Michaela as they don’t have solid evidence of the poisoning.. At the night Michaela tries to poison Cayden directly in his bed chamber, Katrina slaps her face and Eli punches her face with full force I can’t deny in this whole process Katrina left a bitter taste in the mouth but her act is understandable in some ways

I kinda felt sad for agnes because she is just like katarina when she came to estwald but even katarina treated her poorly. There was someone for katarina but poor agnes What happens to the princesses from the other country and katarina's brother??
