Wait a relation is being resolved mid-story?! I thought this was a Korean novel!

 

I lost track around the time of the ambushers, are the recent chapters worth catching up on?

 

The ambushers have actually become a good plot point and after the annoying pacing issue with the first ambush attack, the story's pacing is actually coherent.

 

Chapter 254: And Emily learned the danger of invoking Murphy.

Ok the Ambushers are too stupidly close minded if what they're hinting at is true. Especially if they've travelled to Earth, learned the language and been able to consume the local/world news. Now not knowing who to trust as allies is different than saying they all have to die. I mean dear lords, she had a kid with an Earther! She K N O W S they're not all scum. Sigh.

 

Chapter 260: Well maybe after that last death the Ambushers will finally start acting smart. Sungyoon is finally getting some tangible evidence that all is right with Hyunwoo.

The more I think about it, the more I think giving the villains' POVs did this novel a disservice. I think we'd all better appreciate things if we didn't know as much about the villains, especially Hyunwoo. Anyway the story is much more enjoyable now than it was 40 chapters ago.

 

Chapter 263: I'm impressed that the author is able to blueball us AND have the enemy doing a thoughtful action of causing dissention amongst Sungyoon and the Ambushers. Looks like the Mayor of Armstrong is getting suspicious of Fabion's machinations.

 

I thought that was obvious from the first POV?

It should have been gradually revealed that they betrayed Jungbum or even shown but not explicitly stated rather than those two acting like moustache twirling bad guys.

It was the first sign that this novel wasn't what I thought it was.

 

Well I didn't expect Armstrong to fall this soon. Unless Fabion is completely moronic, that wasn't their goal either. I'm not even sure if that's Hyunwoo's goal yet. This was a big whoops all around.

Now the only question is do they gain any clues about Fabion during the evacuation.

 

Could you tell me what chapter the ex-wife and ex-friend got their retribution? If that ever happen.
Many people like this novel, but I can't seems to bring myself to read ntr novel.

So this isn't a ntr novel. It's pretty much backstory of why the MC is the way he is. His wife is a horrible person that he's better without. The story is about healing from betrayal and seizing control of your own life.

He manages to convince the ex-wife my paying her a lot of money to hand over the evidence of what the partner did. MC uses that evidence to ruin the partner's company. Partner abducts and kills ex-wife. MC beats up partner and the partner is arrested on murder and terrorist charges.

 

Hahaha man that’s funny did the author provide any extra information on how his bitch of an Ex-wife ended up? Like what state was her body in when it was found? Btw did the bitch regret her actions at all?

The ex-best friend got tossed int Korean jail. Which, if you believe all the KR movies, is really horrid.

MC was present when it happened. As for the bitch, her parents are even worse than her. I think her regrets were more along the lines of she wasn't patient enough.

 

If my memory is right, as I stopped reading around the end of this arc, the ex-wife was just as toxic as her parents.

It's just that her parents basically lived on their own planets, mentally speaking. They had such hubris towards the family dynamic and a complete lack of common sense as to why Sungyoon wouldn't want to go back to that life, that I fail to recognize them as human beings.

They were more like cardboard cutouts like literally every other villain in this novel.

 

His wife was regularly having hardcore s*x with his best friend while the MC was working his ass off for his company. I'm pretty sure that this counts as ntr.
