Discussion Chinese Racism in Modern Day novel's!

So in a lot of chinese novels, I am reading particularly in the category Modern Day. There is a lot of hate against the Japanese.
Such as in the novel "My Beautiful Teacher", the author even gets Japan nuked. Protagonist rapes a Japanese girl, constantly insulting her while doing so.
In other chinese novel's I have read, the author gets the Japanese individual to make a fool out of himself in any possible way. The Japanese are also constantly described as arrogant individuals.
Honestly, it sometimes stops me from continuing to read the novel.
I was wondering what other people's thoughts were on this.

I wonder is that because China have too much censor online?

 

I heard that 30% of tv shows etc.. aired in china have Japanese people being massacred.
School also constantly tell students of WW2 when Japan attacked China.
I am guessing such things have a huge impact on their view of Japan.

 

It honestly cheapens the whole thing to me. brings the work down at least a level in quality imo.

World War 2. Ever since then the Chinese have hated the Japanese to the bone. It's just the way they were brought up. The same way if anyone mentions the word Nazi at a rally, you'd have 30 political rights groups and a mob attacking them. It's ingrained.

 

It is called brainwashing... dont blame the author... it is the red government who taught them about those things...

In history, the Chinese also considered their country as the "middle" country. The Chinese considered themselves civilized while everyone else are savages.

 

Because they have shit in the head and want to insult superior race of japanese to make themselves feel better than insects they already are.

It's an odd bit. The Chinese hate them because of a massive slaughter of civilians that the Japanese never apologized for. On the other hand, the slaughter of the Chinese brought the extremely minor communist party into the majority by just being the last man standing (as in the communist party didn't participate in WW2). Which Chairman Mao personally thanked Japan for. On multiple occasions. On record.

 

Urg, i just hate, i mean if the only thing thar you can do in your tlak show is made fun of another country than you have real bad show

Strange thing about this is that the chinese quite possibly have had more wars amongst themselves than against other nations/cultures.

Not to mention Mao is quite possibly responsible for more chinese deaths than the japanese are.

 

Wasn't it because the Japanese did what Nazi did to the Jews to the Chinese in WW2? I mean sure they didn't put them in the concentration camps, they just killed and rape instead of letting them starve to death...which isn't it worse? Pretty sure Chinese would've been near extinction if China had a smaller population or Japan population as large as China.

 

Yeah, I also read about that but the Chinese still respect him, I don't understand why...
