Spoiler I just finished reading ch 1 & 2 and there seems to be a misunderstanding between the ML and FL(?) They knew each other when they were kids. FL loves ML but FL thought he followed a noble lady to a monastery and that he left her too bc she had no power. But then later, the ML says he was sent to the monastery by the Duke his father. He remembers FL and wants to find her and wonders where she is. Upon going to meet the emperor to receive his title of Duke, he realizes it’s her. ML is wearing a ring on his left hand. I’m wondering if FL gave that to him or was it that supposed noble lady he followed? The story is interesting so far and I’m loving that the roles are reversed lol. FL is such a tyrant

I just took a look Spoiler: Ch 3 Indeed she used something in his drink, also they used an aphrodisiac in their wedding night she told him this is her revenge. He tries to explain his circumstances to her and clear the misunderstanding, but she doesn't listen Once the aphrodisiac kicks she makes him to take her in their wedding night. At best I will call what happened "dubious consent" unless in future chapters we are show he was into it. anyways at the end of the chapter When he is sleeping the next morning she tells him "Think of me as a bad destination for all the pain you cased me"
