Plot:

It suddenly came to me on the morning of my graduation, while I changed to my uniform in my room at the age of 15.

It fell like a revelation, the memory of a sword and magic otome game I played in a previous life in Japan. Now, I am the Duke’s daughter, Alisha Ophaniel Stuart.

From birth, I have been engaged to the first prince of this country, and my future as a queen is already decided.

In the game, I appeared as the evil fiancée of the First Prince Melchizedek, the crown prince, who also a capture target for the Heroine.

My role was a template villainess who becomes jealous of the Heroine and bullied her. Then, I will be condemned at my graduation party.

I had blonde hair and blue eyes, though my facial features are not bad, I’m a little chubby,

I put on fancy makeup and styled my hair in vertical rolls; my dress was in bad taste no matter how you look at them, and together with my haughty demeanor, they give people the impression that I am a vile girl.

It looks like this is still ongoing, so no resolution, but the story thus far looks to be quite interesting. I don't know if there's any clarification as to who is the ML of this.

Alice (nickname for Alicia) is/was the daughter of a duke. In her first life she was Japanese and as per the norm with otome isekais, she reincarnated into a game she played in her first life. She pretty much reincarnates the night or so before the condemnation event and while she's surveying her looks, notices that she's a beautiful blonde with the body of Fujiko Mine from Lupin. The first thing she does is pretty much eschew some of the things the previous her would use, specifically heavy makeup and rolling her hair into the typical villainess 'do. She's pretty sexy in her current getup, although TBH, some of the descriptions she has for her boobs sound pretty awful.

IE, the prior her would bind them down to her chest because she thought her body was lewd, so it made her look chubby as a result. She makes them sound like they're hentai boobs, y'know, the type that are bigger than the woman's head and seem like they'd put her into traction rather than being something you could easily live with. She's also apparently 15, so monster chest at an age where you're still going to grow somewhat. Yikes.

Knowing that the condemnation event is to take place, Alice approaches her father to have the engagement cancelled. She also didn't really do much to her beforehand other than warn the heroine (Maria) to not hang all over the prince, as he has a fiancée, however Maria has spun this whole story about how Alice is responsible for heinous bullying. The prince buys into it lock, stock, and barrel, despite it really not holding any water. Typical isekai otome villainess stuff, as there's no proof. Alice's adopted brother is one of the pack, however she sort of wins him over by a few means: first is by her improved, sexier looks and second is by her bringing up their happy childhood together. He's not fully on her side, but he is won over enough that he doesn't stand with Maria and the prince during the condemnation event.

Alice chooses not to attend the ball where the condemnation event is to take place, which her father endorses. As a result the prince shows how stupid he can be by going up to random women who only vaguely resemble Alice (heavy makeup, looks chubby, etc) and spouting off that he's going to cancel the engagement. His father finally comes over and smacks him for being stupid, particularly since him calling the engagement off in public is in poor taste. Maria also cannot become queen and would have trouble becoming even a concubine due to her family lineage (baronet) and because her social reputation is extremely poor, as she was chasing after so many taken men.

Alice ends up spending the time doing magic with her older brother, a magic otaku shut-in. They manage to create a prosthetic arm, which they bring to a female adventurer who recently lost hers in battle. The woman, Luv, becomes taken with the arm and the otaku brother. Alice ends up hooking the two of them up and they become married.

Now, realizing that she doesn't really have a place in the home, Alice chooses to go live as a middle-class commoner in the city. Her only other options would have been to become a nun or marry, neither of which she particularly likes, especially as her marriage options are lousy. After she moves to the city Alice ends up gaining Luv's brother Hayato as an escort/knight of sorts. This is when Alice remembers that there's a hidden route that can only be opened up via the harem route, which is of course Hayato's. She and Hayato end up meeting Maria in the city. Maria is of course trying to lure him in, even name dropping that her group has the future king as one of its members. (In truth the prince was told that he could only come back after he slayed a dragon to prove that he's worthy, an extremely difficult task that is pretty much impossible for an idiot like him.) Hayato refuses.

Afterwards she and Hayato talk, at which point she tells him the story of her cancelled engagement. He asks for permission to touch her and pats her head. Alice falls for him.


I think that Hayato is the future ML, but there's the possibility for the adopted brother, I suppose. I both like and dislike this so far. It has a lot of cliches and the fake heroine is really a huge stereotype, but it's still sort of fun for what it is. Dunno if I will go much farther, hence posting for spoilers.

Hayato is endgame. Alice is engaged to him and they're apparently enrolled in some adventurer school.
At some point Maria apparently lost her harem and was picked up by some sleazy mafia type guy who makes her serve as a courier and also beats her. She has a much more different, calmer personality but only because she's held in magical thrall. Alice takes her in and away from the guy and her sister in law Luv is working on freeing her, assuming that it's possible. Don't know what happened to the prince, but apparently he and Maria are not on speaking terms.

 

That seems like far too much Japanese cultural programming for me. I could see someone not going out of their way to take vengeance. There's really no way to make yourself whole again. Going out of your way to help someone that actively tried to ruin your life and cost you your status? That's a bit much.

 

Idk. Even if someone bullied me in like high school id stil would save them from being raped/murdered if I could. Yeah there still a anbitch ass and I wouldn't wanna be friends with them but there a large gap between disliking someone and wanting them to die

It's just basic human nature.

 

My high school days are kind of far back but there was a girl I knew that shot and killed her father. It was with good reason in both mine and the courts opinion(she was acquitted on a justification defense).

On the other hand, I can't think of any bully that ever had an impact of any significance on my life. It was always far too easy for me to just mix it up with them.

What people take away from any experience will always depend on the persons involved and how intense things get. Most of these villainess scenarios are way over the top. They usually involve being alienated from family, country, loss of social of social status and potential or actual loss of life and or loved ones. Any of the prior, seems a bit much to shrug off and have a brew at the pub to make amends.

 

I don't know if I'll read any more of this, it's pretty aggravating in some ways.
