Tbh, from a theological pov, morality comes from gods, not humans so technically they did no wrong. I personally like how most Greek gods got no chill because they (in my opinion) represent forces of nature and forces of nature are very much sporadic and often end up ruining lives of humans casually and it makes no sense for them to act as paragons for humanity.
They're more a representation of a force in nature and other concepts with few exceptions. Ares - War Zeus - King of the Gods, yet also representing Lightning and Thunder Poseidon - The Ocean and to a degree the earth, Tsunamis and Earthquaks Hades - Riches, the Underworld, Undeground, and the Dead Demeter - Seasons/Agriculture Cronus - Harvest Kronos - Time Uranus - The Heavens/Sky Gaia - The Earth ETC, ETC.
I’ve always had a special place for a few people like. Orpheus. He had an amazing gift and an interesting quest. Or Daedalus he was an incredible engineer. Those are my main HEROs of Ancient Greek. As to my favorite god would be Hephaestus. He was amazing, but lousy with women.
In P3FES, Skadi could learn Niflheim. That is coz Hel has always been a mid-level demon in SMT (around lvl 45 or so). Imagine giving access to Niflheim at that level - You can fuse it onto a better demon and just unleash literal hell over and over.
Persona generally puts greek (dionysus 40~?) and norse gods(60~) at the lowest possible ranks. Then you've got the egyptian ones(50~70) and indian ones above them, like asura and shiva.(70+). Yet we all end up using Japanese generals near the end and the typical end boss is like izanagi or some more western type of god with themes like angels and Lucifer. Although 3 does have some interesting bits with MC using Orpheus and Nyx. p.s. Is this why MC always wants to pierce the heavens, all xianxia is BL?! now i understand why my butt is cracked , dem 'sky cleaving' attacks!
In non-Persona games, My End game parties usually tend to be a mix of Indian gods + Christian stuff + randoms (depending on the alignment). End game bosses in most games tend to be either something along the lines of Luci/Satan/Metatron aka Christian stuff, A japanese god like in P4, or like YVYH/Brahman/Kagatsuchi - aka the Creator "G"od of that universe.
Prometheus for helping in the kindling Mankind. Hades for being the lesser evil among the pantheon. Hades only flaw I recall was tricking Persephone into becoming his wife. Everything else involving the rules of the "Hades" is fair game. I mean, you're really asking to get divine punishment in trespassing the "Hades" as part of the living. The dead stay dead.
Playing the Hades game introduced me to Sisyphus' myth, which was very interesting to me. Man literally cheated the personification of death and made it such that nobody died for a while. While he was a real asshole in the stories, the game actually portrayed him very well. Would recommend the game to anyone interested in the Greek mythology involving Hades and Persephone.
That's a Japanese take on western culture, I'm not sure they care whether is correct or not. In Marvel movies, Loki is actually a frost giant, I don't know but that's probably not true according to Norse mythology. One of these had Surtr as a summon Not the best pic but damn, Witch Hunter was better than most hentai back then.
Well, the ice spell 'Niflheim' does fit into the frost giant theme. Anyway, i don't know which verse lore is correct in marvel or whatever, but i remember him being half frost giant in one of the movies. Anyway, that picture... omnomnom.
Lol, yeah. It's hard to find a favorite among the olympians when they sound so twisted. Hestia would definitely be my favourite. She sounds like a sweetie among psychos. If we really have to compare Hades with the other 'Big 3', yeah, he's not that unbearable. I mean, Zeus? He's the worse imho. Terrible scandals and I've just read that he liked to disguise as someone else. I'm still unhappy that Poseidon seduced Medusa but Athena only punished Medusa. Kinda unfair, lol, but anyway, Zeus is still on my bad notes
... *cough* Well if I had to choose it'd be Dionysus, for obvious reasons He lives the life I wanted to have, carefree and happily roaming around with no one to care what he does.. I'm happy for that little one though, at least in him some part of me is fulfilling that dream Also, maybe guilt has a part too, just a little bit >.>
Am not that familiar with greek myths, but i do know the Illiad and that work i did find interesting.
Im kinda stuck ya the greek gods are great but again the titans are also cool its a tough choice if i had to choose i would choose i would choose perses titan of war and also among others gaea she is the one that gave birth to titans yes our very mother earth she is a badass....mom .
