Romance novels... (´・_・`) I mean I am no expert in them since I do not read many of them, and I believe most of my picks won't be good anyways. Most of the ones I can think of is like:

    Hikaru ga Chikyuu ni Itakoro……
    Transmigrator Meets Reincarnator
    Doomed to be Cannon Fodder

Then I would be also ignoring all the BL and otoge categories since I only read a few popular ones like Bakarina. Horror on the other hand leaves me mixed feelings, I know a lot of good horror out there in BL novels but I cannot bear to read them past a certain point.

I do follow TJSS but I found it very hard to read past a certain point (maybe it was the translation site issue, but I feel headaches just continuing).
Kumoko is the one that brought forth the trend towards rebirthing into animals/magic beasts (unlike Re:Monster which did demihumans). I did enjoy Kumoko as a novel and went to reread it back when the anime started. Afterwards, I could feel the shackles of the writing make me not like it as much as before. I actually find tensei slime a better representation of that whole category tbh.

Read this as well. I really loved it and read up till like 500+ and dropped it iirc, cannot remember why anymore though.

I feel Kumoko has the wacky energy to keep things entertaining... though I do see how she could have less re-readability.

I really liked Slime Tensei, but I don't find it a must read. Though that may be due to the translators (not in a bad way!). I used to read the chapter immediately but, back in the day, what I sometimes found more interesting was the 'comedy' skit they did at the beginning of each chapter. I got really sucked into that and sort of lost my passion for the novel once most of the translators started to drop off.

I don't know, it just made me sad to see them all disappear. :blobpensive:

Ahh, I am not a spambot or a paid advertiser. I am the author. I am sorry if you felt like I lied or something. But you can read the novel to be sure that I didn’t really lie about it.

    Waiting Until 35 Years Old

I’ve never forgotten this one. I read it back when it was first translated on NU and I still think of it on occasion. It’s definitely not a light read, but it is short. Be prepared to feel awful :blobwink:
