Whoever took that screenshot is just flexing the amount of SQ they have. 552 rolls or 55 ten-rolls, that's also equal to buying almost 10 of the biggest packs for the game... Truly makes me envious shocked at the amount.
I really don't get why the ironman called 'iron' instead of steel or alloy or metal or just armor man.
I mean, I don't think much thought is put behind superhero names... It just needs to sound cool and be somewhat related to the hero. I mean, aquaman is a man that can live underwater... He could be the Atlantisman, or the Fishtalkman, or the Uselessman, but... They chose aquaman~
I read that Iron Man is a common phrase meaning a man of great strength and toughness and the iron suit justifies it.
“I don’t think they put much thought into it” is a pretty casual dismissal of someone’s work, y’know. ‘S like someone saying you don’t put any thought into your own characters. The authors of those comics can be pretty passionate.
Ah, well... I choose all my character names on a whim myself... >.> Like, sure, I do put thought on the plot, interactions and whatnot... But names? Names are kind of a whatever to me. I think that when choosing superhero names, the authors just try going for something cool and easy to remember... Well, I guess that nowadays due to how big the companies making comics are, they probably spend more time deciding the name of a new hero, but uhn... Well, I just don't expect names in general to get that much thought behind it. Rather than dismissing their hard work, I just don't think the choice of a character's name is something super important for a narrative...
