Me too! I was far more excited about this when I thought they would be the ML. I may still read this because it seems interesting, but I definitely have a case of the sads.
If MC has dark hair, ML has light hair, it's one of the light novel rules, btw have you read the novel or is it just pure speculation? The knight doesn't have tanned skin: I don't know what were they thinking (the artists) , because they are creating characters who aren't as the author portrayed them
