On other sites, such as Royal Road there are myriad novels with Dungeon Core MCs, but here in Novel Updates, not a single book -on the other hand, Dungeon Master MC novels are dime a dozen-. Why?
With how popular they are, it seems very strange to me.

*thinks* maybe they just aren't the novels translators choose to work on or maybe its not really a thing where the mc is a dungeon core that cant move?

And royalroad novels arent typically asian novels (would need translation) so it could be a site's niche thing like how people on scribble hub love to write gender bender yuri or smth

Maybe the TL/SC still don't knows about NU?

aha, so somehow all the translators, old and new, magically reached that conclusion unanimously?

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
maybe they've never found any dungeon core mc novel to translate
it might not be a thing asian webnovel authors thought about or like writing
different websites, different cultures, different ecosystem

    ...maybe.
but I find it hard to believe seeing how there are novels with all kinds of immobile protagonists such as swords or armor or magical tools or even systems.

Maybe there isn't any Dungeon Core novel to translate?

It's pretty hard to translate something that doesn't exist...

If you actually know of one that should get translated then post it in pickup requests

Mhm, those exist on NU but they shouldnt be treated as the rule but as the exception
Compare how long the list of translated novels with non-humanoid protagonists is with the list of translated novels without the tag.
    pagewise, It's 9 to 532.
There are definitely new avenues you can take as an author if you limit / give up your mobility in the story.
but it also closes a lot of doors not being able to move from the same spot, so it might not be something a writer would choose to write.

Because it is hard to build a harem when you are a dungeon core. Most of these dungeon master mc novels are harems

In almost every Dungeon Core novel, the protagonist can create a humanoid avatar...

this for example: The Impeccable Adventure of the Reluctant Dungeon

I'd guess it hasn't been popularized in japan. Or maybe they want the MC to be the "master" so they can have a dungeon core waifu like in lazy dungeon master that can't disobey them.

I've never seen a story with a dungeon core protagonist on NU, it only seems to exist in stories on sites like Royal Road and Scribble Hub. So I assumed it was a concept unique to original novels.

Most of the DC stories seem to focus very heavily on describing the dungeon layout, the monsters, and the traps. So I was under the impression that they were mainly written by fans of TTRP games, like Dungeon and Dragons, and Pathfinder. There basically stories written by game masters just describing the dungeon they never got to run because a player caused a TPK at the first town when he tried to seduce the king's grandmother.
