I'm looking for a novel on military and wars. Something along the lines of Tenkyou no Alderamin, Haken no Kouki Altina or Daybreak on Hyperion. Basically a strategist or tactician MC who uses his wits. The novel should have the military strategy aspect in some capacity if it isn't the main focus.

I've watched this before too. The series was pretty funny and I enjoyed it.

Mentioned in my first post. Enjoyed this one alot as it also includes social and political factors that mix well with the story.

Not a translation project, but basically 160+ long chapters of war porn: http://www.tboverse.us/HPCAFORUM/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=29 (Armageddon and Pantheocide)

It's two books of an unfinished trilogy, where God and Satan are both assholes, and the US military invades Hell and Heaven. The third book was supposed to be about Other Mystical Religious Realms, but a butthurt christian posted stuff illegally to break the 1st distribution rights (without which corporate publishers refuse to publish) so the third book was never finished. Still a very solid read with a decent ending - and if you like detailed, jargon-aware, internally consistent semi-fantasy war stories, you'll >love< this.

... You know, usually, the writer has the right to decide when and if he wants to publish it. So, if the writer proves the fact that he's the 'parent' than .. He can sue that one and tgen he can publish it. I think that his book was 'lacked' on internet by hacking or by a 'friend'. If so, he can prove his right by showing that he was the first to post it on his website or by other means - for example, he made it public by.. Sending it to various publishers. What i recommend is, if you know him, to consult a lawyer. Fast.

This was a few years ago, and the religious nut in question bragged about it / posted anonymously on ThePirateBay, and an IP trace lead to Romania - no legal recourse for the author. Furthermore, in the moneymaking world of publishing, unless you're an A-List author, big publishers won't touch anything without 1st rights and electronic rights, both of which are irrevocably lost whenever something gets posted on the internet in >any< format. Since the author was only writing for profit, not for fun, End Of Game.

That's a huge thing that can seriously piss off all $$$ authors, and that the entire webnovel translation community depends on, ironically; it's why it's legal to translate a webnovel and the translations cannot be DMCA'd (legally, anyway - auto-takedowns FTW : | ). Once something is posted, EVEN WITHOUT THE OWNERS CONSENT, the rights and profit potential for the work are essentially a big fat zero. The only exceptions are retroactive corporate copyrights (legally dubious, brought to us by The Senators From Disney) and retroactive government security classification (brought to us by the War On Terror and The War On Drugs). Other countries besides the USA may have different rights, but suing internationally, person-to-person is essentially hopeless.

Anyway - the two books still have a solid, completed story arc, and are a good read for military novels. The top poster should enjoy them.
