I would prefer it that there was alien life in the universe.... my imagination would refer to them as very much like our own life. And the dominating species from their home planet would be very much like our own.

If there's no other life in the universe yet their marks remain, then there's a great filter.

If we're the first, then we must persevere against the unknown. And if there's a filter then there's one.

And if we were the first to colonize space, what was going on in those 9 billion years of the universe existing? Some say it was cooling so life could come to form.

I was recently thinking, what if life is really rare, like there is only an abysmal chance of it ever appearing during the entire lifespan of the universe, but there are infinite universes, so it is bound to happen sooner or later in some of them.

first one, I'd rather have few deep connections than many shallow ones.

Once a month feels too few, but bearable for me.
Not having a lasting relationship or even a relationship at all to anyone doesnt seem worth it.
