So I believe you stay away from psychological ones?

Yes. Unless it's similar to Akagi or One Outs or Liar Game. And I prefer watching this genre (manga, anime, TV, movies) than reading it as a novel. Probably because novels make me more engaged. But the psychological genre is already more demanding on the brain compared to junk food escapist novels.

Yes. Watching is different from reading as reading makes the scene detailed

Omg, I already asked you about it. Try waiting 26 minutes. 26 minutes is the time it takes for someone to fall asleep. It has been documented in many prestigious and reputable research papers. Don't stress about not being able to fall asleep before 26 minutes. And expect to fall asleep at the 26 minute mark.

It's a lot to do with brain/stress levels. The lower the levels, the easier it'll be for you to sleep. So trick yourself into believing that sleep will come and it will come.

The 26 minute thing was for real though.

When do you try to got to sleep, how long are you awake before you try to sleep, how long do you lie down before trying to stimulate yourself again?

Haha it's very irregular. The later I go to sleep the faster I fall asleep. Unless my brain is overly excited, then nothing can make me fall asleep sigh. Well, I really don't have the intention to unload my worries on unsuspecting people on the internet. I appreciate your concern tho :))

And pardon my frankness, but you also seem very charming, there's a tang of, oh, what's the word, passion or hope or wit, idk, you exude a good deal - impatience, but the good kind, you don't want to be hopeful, but you inherently are, and that discordance, it creates something magical. It doesn't really make sense, but you're very lively and likely won't take shit. That's the sort of impression I get from you.

Thank you, you're kind. I do tend to say my mind honestly and sometimes overshare lol. But that's only when others approach me and get closer, in real life. It's 10x easier online, gotta admit. If I'm among strangers, I'll just sit somewhere and stay silent the whole evening cause it's better than saying some awkward shit.

I don't read many JP novels. But transmigrations and world-hopping are technically isekai, so I guess. I mostly mean fantasy, sci-fi, paranormal, horror, systems, litrpg... Anything that isn't slice of life drama and has an element outside of reality. I want to see a world built by the author's imagination and forget about reality while I read.

That's my favorite kind of genre too. I read my first isekai novel way before isekai was a thing. The Magician's Nephew.

The title of this new novel won't even fit in a 140 characters post. They actually grow each year. Isn't it a synopsis at this point =_=?

I see. I was thinking of eventually moving there for work, buy some property in a small town and so on. I like Canada cause they speak English. Otherwise, same dream about Switzerland. If only their language wasn't a bastard mix of German and French and who knows what else...

Hahaha. I need to learn Chinese for business reasons, so I don't mind going to a place where they speak Chinese.
Taiwan has a lot of English speakers but their immigration law is not very friendly. The reason Mexico is recommended is because of income visas. If you can show an income of a specific amount, you can stay in the country as long as you like

      1. Astaroth
        Astaroth
GT has never and never will be up for anyone's MTL. All it's good for is sentence structure and maybe some slang (though there's actual slang online dictionaries anyway).

People like it because at first glance it looks legit, but anyone who actually reads and pay even the slightest bit of attention will notice that the translation accuracy is garbage.

Often times for the same reason GT makes the sentences flow better it sacrifices the translation accuracy even further

Oh I guess GT can be useful to listen to some pinyin, though I've heard it's not particularly accurate, but it can still help to figure out what some of those weird-looking "western" names are supposed to be.
