@shyja its mostly just stress, but I do see a counselor that helps me make sure I am taking care of myself. However, it is a process.

I think an engaging Rivalry.
The dynamic between them should drive the story rather than having an empty character for plot convenience. Many stories fall short on rivalries and only use them for that rather than let them the flourish and spice up the story. A rival should never be a forgettable game trophy tbh.

Like, I want to be genuinely pissed off when the Rival wins because of how badly I wanted the MC to win and while fully knowing how CLOSE it was. Or even the other way around. Good rivalries always have a dramatic flair that mean something to the reader and overall story, imo.
