I think I saw one there's a translation group where a single point is equal to $1 that is only able to unlock a single chapter, my first impression was "Woah, wtf with this price" and continue reading or waiting for new releases.

Don't go popular hosting provider except if they really have cheap packages. I suggest using a legit cheap hosting provider and then putting your site into Cloudflare, you don't need to think any else about performance afterward. Well you can put optimization plugin.

Use tld-list.com to find the cheapest domain, for example .com, find the cheapest to register that has relatively good reviews, and when it is near to expire, transfer the domain to another registrar that has stable transfer & renewal prices.

If you're using .com, I suggest Cloudflare.

I'm living in Indonesia so the cheapest domain I can get is my.id and it only costs about 0.5$ per year.
