For History's Number 1 Founder, the period where the MC is weak is a relatively minor part of the overall story. It's not like HN1F is my favorite novel or anything, I just thought it'd be a shame if you dropped it because Lin Feng wasn't OP enough when he's pretty much one of the strongest figures in the world before the story's halfway done.
Anyway, if you're reading History's Strongest Senior Brother, that plays the OP protagonist a little straighter.
You raise good points, I've also read in spoilers that LF does get really OP later. I guess I've just been more impatient thus inducing more frustration with the MC. Am pretty far along in HSSB now and pretty satisfied with the OPness of YZ. I might go back to HN1F after a period of time, maybe skipping some chapters with the weak MC part.
That's fair, I can empathize with the feeling. I'd recommend a novel, but it seems you're already reading most of what I'd suggest :P
