    Have read till 170. Honestly it's getting boring so kept it on hold. There are different cultivation realms...one for martial artist using "vigor" and other for immortal cultivators. For immortal it's Qi Refining, Core, Nascent Soul,..., Divine Transformation, Void something, etc. MC is in Divine Transformation. (i forgot some realms).

  Since you might be somewhat sick of MTLing due to AWE's ending and your dissatisfaction with Chen Dong's Sacred Ruins, I would suggest a change of signature.
  
  BTW, Battle Through teh Heavens ended on WW, you can read it for a change if you didn't before. Andd Warlock is complete too.

    Oh, didn't notice your post. Twilight Arc has MC at his best in manipulating people, and so it is pretty good arc. The following arc is prelde for the 'second half' of the story.

    Book 3 is spent away from the sect, gathering materials for Core Transformation.
    As for face-slapping, there are some points where MC steals away a item or scripture before everyone's eyes but they can't do anything. The face-slapping is not as good as IRAS or Library of Heaven's Path but those are face-slapping novels.

    It is somewhat important, it is a plot point that MC isn't from a noble cultivation family and so can't get cultivation advice.
    So the jade has time acceleration + mysterious Dao characters for enlightenment + ability to create a avatar which can be destroyed and recreated easily, so he can experiment and train in cultivation arts quickly.

    Personally, prefer Human Emperor. It has a bit of everything that's interesting (cultivation, game system, city building, large-scale strategy) no romance and the history is mostly accurate (Tang Dynasty) as well.

    As for MC's cultivation and cheat, he isn't really specializing in something: he has blade, sword, fist and seal techniques which he has cultivated to a high level. His body and qi cultivation allow him to kill above his level, the whole solid foundation thing. His cheat allows him to master techniques in a cinch but requires resources in exchange, so he is always pursuing more resources.

    MC doesn't know much about cheat item's powers (except using it as storage or hiding in it)...at least till where I read (Ch300). Now there are 1k+ chapters in raws. MC's cheat item is Divine Spark which comes with a Mountain and River Chart. MC obtained the memories of Pill Sovereign through this cheat item.
