Yep. I mean, it made it seem as though he might arrive in the nick of time but Wang Lin being mad at someone was a large driving force for quite a lot of the novel so far. I feel like even if she doesn't die, this cultivator that is attacking them will still end up hurting her, thus driving Wang Lin to go on another Murder Kill adventure.
Hm. Yes. It seems predictible. I''m not sure if she'll survive or not, but, maybe.. He'll improve, again, his domain after her death, if she were to die.
Hm. Will the mosquito of the mc evolve? I'm curious to see if the mc will gain that type of king insect.
That is my problem unless the enemy was a soul transforming cultivator he could have used his real body... also what was the point of hiding his real body under his home country instead of near his lover to protect her?
Question: In chapter 231, who are those people that tried to kill Wang Lin? Never mind, I found the answer, they are guardians of Lian Mo City, and the bald man mention above is the Nascent Soul cultivator that got killed by Wang Lin for his Token in chapter 230.
i agree with you on this point to cliche... he really could have kept his real body near her (perhaps underneath the chu country) at the very least to keep an eye on her as help her in any other way she needed help with...
"These two new Nascent Soul elders were never seen again after that day. There were only two new puppets surrounded by black mist following Lu Fei now…"- this paragrah reminded me of.. How the mc used to treat others. Isn't his real body somewhere else, cultivating? I can't remember what happened with it.
Spoiler He saves her and then immediately goes off on another cultivation trip. By the time he gets back she died of old age already and stays dead for the rest of the novel. So basically this is the last time you'll see her (or any romantic love interest) in this novel.
Godamn how did er gen f*** up the romance in ISSTH when here it's actually done well. Well for xuanhuan standards but still got me in the feels
Looks like this time it isn't going to be a cliche Dem feelz in the last few chapters ;-; I wish she wouldn't die though, still hoping for the best.
I wonder why as well. The way Wang Lin and Li Mu Wan met was basically the same as MH and Chu Yuyan (in the sense that they were enemies and they had to live together for some time), but Er Gen went with Xu Qing for MH...
Maybe he wanted a change of tropes? Anyway, in a way, the after part seemed similar - the fight for the loved one; I think that Xian Ni, in a way, has a not so linear/predictible plot.. In contrast to ISSTH.
A shame that Wang Lin would not walk the ancient god path as when it was revealed in the latest chapter fighting against the messenger it was pretty awesome and the fact that the original body was already growing in size comparable to the ancient gods was pretty awesome until the merger of the clone and true body... i know that they will probably be able to split up sort of like in the past where the clone was acting like a nascent soul for the true body but still...
What I liked about Xian Ni is that Wang Lin is that he is fighting the heavens for his beloved, instead in ISSTH he did it because it was the heavens of Ji and he didn't want cultivators with a perfect cultivation base... and the world in Xian Ni seems more interesting (even though it's in the same universe lol).
...Well, I also think that the world of Xian Ni is a bit more interesting. but, both have good things and bad things. In a way, Meng Hao is better developed (the writer hided few things better).
Isn't he split up right now? The original body secluded himself a while back before he started living as a mortal to find his dao iirc I think we've been following the life of his clone all this time, or did I miss something?
Yes, the life of his clone. But, in the last chapters, he was able to 'unify' the main body with the clone.
