Definitely an iron. One of those portable iron that works like a kettle; It doesn't have a built-in battery, electricity is supplied to the heating element in the iron through the dock. The iron heats up to a certain temperature until it reaches cutoff level (indicated by an indicator light on the iron). You then iron your clothing until you feel that the creases stop straightening easily, return the iron to the dock, repeat.
Panasonic Cordless Multi-Directional Steam/Dry Iron edit the knife was there perhaps they guy/girl wants to heat up the blade? or just use it as a pointing device or some sort, who knows
I had never heard of iron having steam generator till now (I live under the rock I guess) What we use is a dry iron which doesn't require any such docking station.
Definitely an iron. Whether it's a docking station or the iron got stuck to something and they're trying to use the cutter to separate it...?
It looks like a Razor blade on an electric knife sharpener with an Heated Iron on top of it to ... Heat it up? Since the Iron has a water reservoir.
