A few years back, I've read a manga (and watched it's anime) called Kekkaishi The story followed the MC which had the ability of a Kekkaishi aka the Barrier Master and I fell in love with this kind of ability (Loved that side character in One Piece with the Barrier Barrier devil fruit xD) Here on NU I found a novel "I've reincarnated into a Barrier Master" but the MC is to stupid... Asking for novels with abilities of Barriers, please. Edit: yep, sorry the novel here on NU is ” Reincarnation into the Barrier Master " (some wise guy, really...)

i know of an anime that uses barrier to defeat demons, i dont know why it didnt get caught up in the european world but it sure was fcking awesome

Mahouka Koukuo no Rettousei has a character or two with those abilities, they don't show up in the first volume or two though
Well, how about Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu ? His ability is "realm". Which is somewhat of a barrier type ability. Early on he uses it mostly as support. But afterwards he uses it to contain his magic armor.(effectively making his magic power into a barrier and smashing with it)
