so I was browsing through the mysterious family past tag and it say's ISSTH is a part of the family and I stopped reading for some reason but I do remember that in the very start of the series the mc was going to commit suicide and that he had no family so if his family past affects his cultivation could you tell me how.
He does have parents and a clan. As for why he is not in his clan, without spoiling too much I can tell you that it is not by choice but by necessity.
This year for certain. Even if we slowed deathblade down and pretended he averaged 10 chapters a week, there's only 300 or so to go, so... 30 weeks. Roughly 8 months? It's usually more like 12-16 chapters a week though, so I expect it'll be done sometime in the fall. Summer, if deathblade goes full psychotic on releases leading up to the end.
lets just say that the mcs' future cultivation will have a large effect on his "mysterious clan" as a whole.
He didn't try to commit suicide, at least not in the beginning of the series. There are some instances that could be counted as attempted suicide or in some cases even successful suicides like the time he Spoiler fused into the violet sea, the part with the wang clan patriarch, the part where he breaks into the ancient realm and maybe some others, but certainly none in the start of the novel. He does have family, it's just that they aren't with him. His family cannot affect his cultivation, rather they are not allowed to interfere with him until he reaches a certain level. Before he meets them(almost 800 chapters in), his family members only appear near him on about 3 instances and even then they try to stand away from him as much as possible and not let him now their identity. His family doesn't specifically raise or help him too much in raising his cultivation as there is no need, but his cultivation is affected because of his bloodline. Also, because of his identity and status in the clan, he does get some special opportunities which could be said that increased his speed of cultivation and strength to some extent.
