Fucking hell, that was a bit more than glaring.
I don't know how the hell you'd expect people to not use Mages as tanks.

 

Tanky Mages? That wasn't what I had in mind but ok.

 

I mean, they're literally immortal, what else could you want from them?

 

I didn't want to increase the word count so I left out a lot of things lol.
Like mages being rare so they don't actually know mages are immortal.
And their 'immortality' is actually a rebirth ability of some sort.
The necromancer knows that it's useless to try and devour the mage after many attempts which is why it throws him out at the end.
Well, I did say glaring plot holes.

I would read and try to give feedback, but it's almost 5am here... I haven't slept yet, I'll wake up at 8:30am at the latest, so... Yeah, not reading it today.

At any rate, is there a title to it? For now I've put your story as "Untitled" on the Table of Contents, but it would be nicer if there was a proper title! \(^^)/
