The original is a little darker as the Beast basically blackmails Beauty's dad into sending her to him, also the Beast does fight Gaston over the girl and even kills him off in the Disney version. That's kind of jungley. I can't think of any mainstream stories\fairy tales that are full on 'law of the jungle romance', but I'm sure there are some. Many of the older stories and fairy tales are bloody dark. There's probably at least one Greek myth that goes along those lines, though most of those myths tend to end up with everyone dead at the end because the Greeks loved themselves a good tragedy and were generally of the opinion that anyone who gets involved with gods is going to regret it.
Remember Disney's The Lion King? Scar gets thrown into a fire by Simba and then torn apart by his hyena former comrades. Admittedly you can only see the shadows, but even as a kid I knew what had just happened. (And I thought it was awesome! Bastard got what he deserved.) Disney made their fairy tales a lot more family friendly than many of the original or prior works, but there's still a surprising amount of darkness hidden away under those cheerful cartoon animals.
