Aside from your first language, the easiest language to learn is the language that shares the same origin, characters and grammar structures as your language.

Sign language is quite difficult, actually. Especially if you're not very dexterous.
Besides, there are different versions of sign languages for different countries (too lazy to research it now to check how many).

    ~~
English was relatively easy for me to learn. I don't mean grammar rules, etc., since I mostly learned from anime subs, US tv shows and movies, after which came books, but it was definitely better than German, most of which I've forgotten within a year of stopping.
Weird thing is, I sometimes want to use English grammar when writing in my native language. It's not like I don't know rules I should adhere to while writing, it's just that some things looks so foreign to me, I'd rather write them incorrectly.

It's not really that weird. In my country where people are fluent in both Malay and English, a lot of translators translated English stuff into Malay using English grammar. For example:
    1) English: It's not that easy.
Malay with English grammar: Ia tidak begitu mudah.
Malay with Malay grammar: Bukan semudah itu.
Note: You DO NOT have to include 'it is' in this case! God, I want to stab the face of everyone who do this.

    2) English: How to pick the right game for you.
Malay with English grammar: Bagaimana untuk memilih permainan betul untuk anda.
Malay with Malay grammar: Bagaimana memilih permainan yang betul untuk anda.
Note: Malay translators mistakenly translate all 'to' as 'untuk' when in reality, most of the time it doesn't need to be translated. Heck, it doesn't even have to exist in that sentence.

With both the above examples, you will never see this mistake being made by anyone not fluent in English, unless they read translated mangas, because the translators translated from English and they're all pure cancer, the management included. Talking about Kreko monthly, and they're actually illegal manga magazine, stealing mangas from mostly Jump. Anyhow, you can only see these mistake made by those fluent in both Malay and English.

I'd call it "Top comment" effect. You know, stuffs like Facebook, YouTube and 9Gag where the guy whose comment received the highest amount of likes will automatically be shown on top of the comment section. However this is a forum where your reply won't be moved to the top with the number of likes so the first guy to reply will unconsciously write something that'd attract likes. Lol, what am I even saying.

The easiest language would be the one.. that you make yourself.
Just speak gibberish and give it some meaning. There, it's that easy.

But in all seriousness I believe that the easiest language is the body language. Everyone understands the meaning of a fist coming straight at their faces Lol

Kinda surprised no one mentioned esperanto. It's a made language, but it has a lot of speakers. It was apparently created so it is easy to learn it and for it to become the international language, but well english happened...

That depends on your native language, actually. For example, did you know that some east african languages sound exactly like mandarim? The language is clearly diferent, but the sounds they use is basically the same, so is surprising easy for chinese to learn these languages and people of these languages to learn mandarim. It's one of the reasons why the chinese have been so sucessfull in investing in east Africa in recent years. And if you're a native speaker from a latim language, the other latim languages will be relativelly easy for you to learn, tough not aways. There's also familiarity. English can be a dificult language to learn, but since people are overly familiar with it from the cultural influence of the USA, there's a lot of people that find it easy to learn.
