Someone is stealing translators' works and posting numerous novels in their own site.

Site claims it's under Fair Use Policy, but posting whole chapters is against Fair Use Policy.

I would rather purge Wattpad in a sea of flames if you ask me.
Same thing as that site but 10 times worse.
They should get taken down anyway.MGA is licensed..

 

They're the same, stealing content from the translators without permission. If anything, this will hurt the community even more.

 

I think the stylesheets for that site are particularly hideous, but I guess there are people out there who do like this kind of thing.

 

Theres no mention of FBT for MGA, thats not even fair use, thats outright theft

Posted it so people would be made aware that there's someone trying to steal content from the translators, and decide against supporting it, since it seems to go with a "Novel Suggestion" thing.

Translators who got their content stolen can file a DMCA complaint for each chapter stolen.

 

great. Now the community will run red with blood. We all have to choose sides now. i choose to stand by the translators. someone call fs, she'll be the one leading our armies across this barren landscape. Let the war begin. . .

To reiterate, I merely posted it so the community would know that they are stealing content, and decide against supporting the IDEA itself. Because if this remained under the radar, sooner or later the community would know of its existence as the site grows. And I wanted the community to know that this kind of stuff hurts the community itself.

 

And yeah btw, I got this news from Kobato.

 

yeah, it's annoying, it's vile, it's evil, but it's something the translation community has been tarnished with for decades. And i'm not talking about these novel translations. The manga translation scene copes with the same problems too.

Other sites "stealing" work from translators, and even watermarking it as if it's their work. And even asking money for it.

In the end, there never was a solution.

 

I'm against that. Fill a complaint if you should or talk, directely With the site owner. There seems to be, before some chapters, the name of the translators but not their website. So, in the end.. I think that stolen is the traffic.

I still find strange how the fire had spread. Can't we be civilized and talk before 'going to war'?
