Discussion (For girls) If you were a guy, would you be into other guys?

So...? Excuse my poor intelligence, but ..yes? Maybe no?

I mean well I'm a guy and your asking me That if I was a girl that turned into a guy would I be into guys. So basically asking do I like guys right now and the answer would be a no unless they hella cute or hella rich. The guy better look like a girl or super rich because I'm not shaking my booty for free you know.

 

wouldn't the only thing really keeping you from being biologically driven towards your former sex be the knowledge of having been one? If you were a girl, you have all these memories of bitchy girls who fawn over guys, while as a guy, you probably have all these memories of these shameless horndogs and this bro culture bullshit. It's sort of like how if a guy grew up with like 5 sisters, he'll probably hate or be disgusted by women quite a bit even if he's physically and mentally driven towards them.

I disagree with 2 points there.

The first, the part of the only thing stopping you would be the former sex knowledge, since plenty of people are homosexual.

The second, is the thing about growing with 5 sisters, sure, growing with 5 people of a different sex may be a bit traumatic if they use their numbers to bully the last person... But if they have a good relationship, it would probably be a good influence, not a bad one.

I wasn't denying the existence of homosexuals.... it just felt the conversation everyone was having was more or less assuming that we were talking about a hypothetical where the person in question was straight.

about the siblings part, I mostly meant since if you grew up with 5 sisters, you have a very different image of women compared to many other young men It more or less shatters innocent delusions about the opposite gender.

as for me personally, I can't really think of being attracted to men rather than women. But considering how much of attraction is chemistry and such, I'm assuming changing sex also alters the basic bodily chemistry... I feel a lot of people talking here in this thread are going into this with a mental illusion that would be shattered if it were to actually happen.

I feel like that's not something I can predict in advance. I say this because I have gone through periods where I started liking my same gender, and I can't really say what brought it on other than it happened.

So in short I believe (1) sexuality can change over time (2) you can't control your sexuality, it just happens.

I don't decide on whom I want to spend my life on based on my sexual attraction to them, I choose it based on the person themselves, so I couldn't care less about who "turns me on" and who does not.

 

I think if it's a body transfer or reincarnation thing, I'd still like guys. I've just never felt anything romantic towards other girls. However, if I was born a guy without ever experiencing being a girl, I think it would depend on where and how I grow up.

Assuming you mean turning into a guy? I'm panromantic, so literally nothing would change one way or another.

HRT affects everyone differently. There's no guarantee that orientation will change; there's also no way of knowing if psychology has something to do with those changes.
And obviously there are people with lots of testosterone who like men, and people with little of it who like women, and people looking to "fix" non-straight people have played around with hormones to their heart's content and never really gotten anywhere with it.
So no way to know for sure, really.
