with the latest chapter being a double chapter ending in a cliffhanger i wanted to make a thread for it to talk about. what do you think of his father, kind man or opportunist who saw how his son was making money and wanted a slice of that. what do you think he meant when he said it was because of his robe? i'm thinking that it's due to him being a magician making a large amount of money as well as being merlin's apprentice but being a part of no faction
Its sort of interesting... Though I really don't like how they're using terms from different fictions in their naming scheme...
honestly at this point i'm amazed they haven't all killed each other the crown, the church and the mage union. and now we learn the military is probably going to split off as well
that's why empires suffer from idiot emperors, you just need one idiot to ruin everything(not that democracy is better)
the military breaking off is completly on the emprorer he F****** up but the other two factions were always going to do something i think
Well mages are more or less too busy to deal with the normals, but the church guys are a pain because they can do whatever they like, so if you look at them wrong, your life is not goign to be pleasant
the mages have an insane amount of power and live right in the capital. that was always going to end badly. the church has a complete monopoly on a lot of things like the healing services and the artic zone i think? both groups had way too much power, hated each other and looked for excuses to attack each as shown when du wei was found. the kingdom was stupid to let them reach the level of strength they did and needed to step in at some point
he got them in the mass presents he got from the wealthy woman he saved and from the mage union i believe Edit: oh and i think merlin had a bunch of them
I hate his parents. A father who is willing to sacrifice his son and an affectionate mother who asks too much of her son. They don't really love Du Wei.
but the countess wish for duwei to help his dad. if only she knows that the earl planned to sacrifice her son.
