I recommend reading stories with jobs. Clannad: After Story would be nice. Other stories(first/second hand experience[not necessarily manga]): Pumpkin Scissors, Trigun, Baccano, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Library Wars, Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Un-Go, Shirobako, Fruit Basket, Cowboy Bebop, Pet Shop of Horrors, Spice and Wolf, and Astro Boy.
You know that title should be worded differently, even I almost directed you to a hentai manga site, and I'm female lol. O∆O
whoa. i go away for one second and come back to a bunch of hentai. Yeah -_- I was more thinking about actual people whom are 20+
it's amazing that no one recommends mangaupdates.com maybe because it's common sense that manga goes to mangaupdates.com and novel goes to novelupdates.com
you should found them on almost every old forum about manga~ there also many on new one as long as you know the member~ similar way to every kind forum~
i keep getting told that quite often, people assuming that i am older than i actually am >.> dont really mind it, it allowed me to bypass certain aspects of life that others at my age couldnt...
Actually I had no assumption about your age you are just literally younger than me. I have had similar experiences with people not able to figure out my real age. When I was 17 someone thought I was 23 and when I was 20 someone thought I was 17 (this was odd because I worked the day shift with her consistently).
I'm 32, and still reading manga. However, I will point out that many of the older manga readers are mostly lurkers nowadays, because (1) most of the older forum communities which they were a big part of have disbanded (e.g. I used to be very active on StopTazmo, but it's dead now), and (2) we're a lot busier in life, so rarely can spare the time to comment. Would rather use the time to read than talk to other people. That's why you don't see us participating as heavily in forum postings as some of the younger generation. But anyway, to answer your question, I think probably jcafe and animesuki are the really active places left. Mangaupdates to some extent, though that tends to be more centred around reviews. If you live in North America, then perhaps Anime News Network as well.
You do know that you can filter tags on most manga sites... Seinen is targeted towards older men.. if your looking for H.. plenty of people have mentioned sites so far.
Pretty much as a 28 year old I agree, then again I'm not much for forums, and oh man do I remember StopTazmo I used to go there to download manga til I moved and had no internet or computer then I completely forgot it. Funny thing is I never knew who Tazmo was or why they wanted to stop him(never went to the forums there).
Rikudou Trash Berserk is favored by people whom believe themselves to be mature If all else fails, go to 4chan.org/a Now, onto my music lyric spam. Heaven isnt so far awayyyyyy. Getting closer to it everydayyyyyyy.
what about 4chan. I can never be sure if the Berserk fanbase is actually adults or just teenagers who enjoy looking at gore and monster rape.
Given the OP's desire to interact with older, mature adult readers, I presume that they wanted serious discussion. You tell me if 4chan suits.
