    Well, actually the chinese give more importance to dogs than other cultures. For example the Tiangou, a dog to eat the sun or the moon during an eclipse. In some culture it would be a wolf, a serpent/dragon, or maybe a horse.

    While is normal that rats and pigs have a legendary part in Chinese Mythos is not so common in Greek and Nordic Mithology for example.

    P.S: If you see the pic posted in Wuxiaworld you can realize that is actually closer to a lion. So its cool

    The mastiff is a weird choice, but I like it a lot better than a dragon or phoenix. Even wolves are somewhat overdone. Obviously those are all awesome creatures, but they are overdone.

    i think its because of how he had been living after staring cultivation (just like a stray dog)

    Dawgs and dags are 2 different things
    dawgs are used by the so called American kids that think they are gangsters
    dags is a way of saying dogs in gypsy language that one has to listen to multiple times before understanding; this video basically explains it; btw really suggest watching this movie as it is very funny!!
