    From what I read, people complain about both. Some of their novels translation are said to be MTL level or done using MTL with barely any editing. I haven't read a single of their titles so I can't judge of their quality nor complain about it.

    Translators mostly picked a novel they like. Since they translate mostly for fun and if they have to translate a novel with 1000+ chapters, they might as well find something they enjoy reading, not just because it's popular. Not to say that there aren't some translators who purposely chose popular novels to work on. But these are by far a minority currently.

    No idea where you're going with all that. But :
    And if you fear having a paywall, Qidian said they won't have one. No idea how much trust we can put on that.
    It seems there might actually be some truth in it according to: (still a rumor, and say nothing about the future but hey)

    Ah...I was also voting on Conquest. War was a close second, but I believe QI is more subtle and ruthless with backstabbings compared to the showiness that comes with War.
