In honor of the popular webnovels of the past, I thought to hold a service for those that have passed on
1.Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (WN) - Practically the first webnovel I ever read back in summer 2015. You will be missed
2.Konjiki no Moji Tsukai (Golden Word Master) - Yet another well received series that was one of the first and last to implement multiple translators at the same time. Ultimate Loli Collector ftw
3.Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou (WN) - Back when edge was cool. I like the fanart of Shia better
4.Isekai Mahou wa Okureteru! (WN) - Once upon a time this existed too I guess
5.To Deprive a Deprived Person - Was this ever popular?
6.The New Gate - In hono- ...Wait, weren't you always dead?
7.Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? - This was a pretty fresh take on the isekai genre back when it came out, you'll always have a special place in my heart Kumo-chan. Nai Wa~
8.Re:Monster - Is this how it feels trying to decript hieroglyphs?(Mtl)
9.Maken no Daydreamer (WN) - A little more recent and maybe not as popular as the others but it still held a fairly interesting story to offer. You were chunni, but that's what made you cool
10. Kuro no Maou - Maybe not so much dead but hey, what do I know, I didn't even get that into the series in the first place Don't kill me user who has this as their username

We are gathered here today to mourn the loss of webnovels which have long since died out. For everything they have done for us and made us feel, please press 'f' to pay respect

Edit:I wanted to make it easier so people woudn't complain TL;DR but since so many people keep asking, I'm not putting it in spoilers anymore
Note 1: These are not rankings of which I liked better nor are they based on which I think is more popular, they were listed in such a way because of convenience sake.

Note 2: What I have chosen are Japanese webnovels. As such, Light novels, Chinese novels, or any other types were not added(So no, we will not mourn things such as TDG)

Note 3: I choose these novels based on the impression they made on me, whether good or bad.

Note 4: The novels I choose were ones that have not been translated to the end and or have lost popularity(In my opinion), thus calling them 'dead'. If you want to add the ones that have been completed or the ones that you feel have 'died' since their initial releases then please do so

Note 5: If you feel that I missed any then please feel free to add the ones I missed that fit the criteria. (No Coiling Dragon or DD)

On a side note re:monster was my first novel, tensai shitara the second which also made me find novelupdates

 

what do you mean they are dead? most of those are still being translated...

 

Isn't new gate still being updated? it's just that it has slow updates. and kumo too is still being updated. half that you mention is still being updated.

Imagine all the wasted time those translators spent with these jp novels while they could have learned Chinese instead in all that time and translate chinese novels...

Arifureta is literally finished Main story wise tho. Just the after story is getting translated.
Literally the current translator for this went Godmode at one point.
