    I will just cheer to you then. Some of my fallen brothers that had once reached out to the "Dark Side" for benefits, some accepted it, some was corrupted by it, and some was tainted by it(What Has Been Seen Cannot Be Unseen).

    For manga, I would go with junjuo romantica or sekaiichi hatsukoi, both of which are by nakamura shungiku. You can skip over the sex parts without missing the story, and are pretty popular, so chances are she has heard of it. Good luck

    Dominion's End for sure. That's barely Yaoi. It's more gender bender. And there's enough apocalypse/zombie slaying action to distract you from the fact that there's this weird incest/yaoi vibe the permeates the entire novel.

    Not sure why there are so many anti-yaoi fans instead of actual fujoshis in here.

    Since a lot of the novels I read have been listed, I can only recommend Rebirth of Chen An.

    OH! The Heralds of Valdemar series by Mercedes Lackey. Tons of gay love in that, it's not overwhelming though. Was a really good series.

    The issue with the yaoi tag is it tends to be pretty damn heavy handed. Like, once they decide they're going to put it in the novel it's got to be the focus.

    Because on a scale of 1-10, 1 = barely noticeable and 10 = in-your-face yaoi, Rebirth of Chen An from the first chapter scores around 3-5. In my opinion.
