I'm looking for some novels set in a medieval/fantasy world, it doesn't have to be an isekai, just as long as it's a medieval/fantasy world with swords and/or magic. The novel itself doesn't need to be too mature, but I'm past the wimpy MCs, I want someone who gets things done without complaining about everything. Not necessarily since the first chapter though, it's fine to start out as a wimp as long as he grows to be a badass. The main genres should be adventure and/or action, but I'd also like it to have some romance on the side, no harems though. I'm fine with official or fan translated novels and even things from RRL, but I'm not reading dropped projects nor things being translated at a snail's pace. So far I've read: Goblin Slayer, Hai to Gensou no Grimgar, Overlord, Sword Art Online, Mushoku Tensei, Revolution of the 8th Class Mage, and started but dropped I am the Monarch. Thanks in advance!

I kinda half want to suggest Altina the Sword Princess. But the MC is the wimpiest bookworm you can ever imagine, it's just he's also a badass when he gets stuff done. Well, I guess this novel is dependent on how much you like armchair strategist stories of brains over brawn. I second Release that Witch. Also The Different World Magic Is Too Far Behind!
Hisshou Dungeon Unei Houhou, thought it's a harem the girls are strong and intelligent.The MC is a strategist that tries to avoid direct confrontation and solves every problem in an indirect way.
You should read Warlock of Magus World Mc soul takes over the body of a wimpy noble son and become a top Magus in that world, he is cold, ruthless and f****** badass!
I would recommend the 'Axis Trilogy' by Sara Douglass. It is a medieval fantasy with sword and magic, the MC isn't wimpy as he starts as a commander for a company of soldiers.
If you are going for a light-hearted feeling, Living in this World with Cut and Paste. It fits all the criteria you put, the translation is well done and the releases are frequent. The MC is somewhat insecure, but not wimpy (he gets together with his love interests in around 40 chapters and is pretty strong). Another option, more to the dark side of the spectrum is Dungeon Defense. The translation caught up with the author, so no new releases for the time being. Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi ~ Sokushi Mahou to Skill Copy no Choetsu Heal is also a good choice (not as dark as Dungeon Defense, but mature and well written). The MC is certainly a badass. The releases are quite frequent and the quality is good (lately, there has been one every 1 or 2 days).
Altina the Sword Princess MC is wimpy at first, but he will grow to be braver and firmer with his ideals later on. It takes 3-4 volumes though. But still, he gets his job done in very interesting way. For my personal recommendation: Rakuin no Monshou It's medieval sword and (little bit) magic. It is war, action, strategy, politics. MC is badass and smart. It has good romance as bonus too. And no harem.
