    If you find the translations for the previous chapter sufficient/up to your standards, then I would start from where the previous translator left off.

    jiang ye translations were decent. I dont think its worth doing it from the beginning. atleast thats my opinion.

    If the style of the previous translator is fine with you then you can carry on from where the last person finished. Some people might complain but meh. You're the one translating not them. Good luck with your translations~

    Generally it's a better idea to continue unless you plan on re-translating the previous chapters very very quickly. Most readers just want the continuation of the plot and can adapt to any slight changes in style/naming. Most people who end up going back and starting from the beginning realize that nobody gives a shit about the novel anymore because everyone just wants more fresh chapters and not the old ones.

    It is a better idea to pick off where it was left. You have already TLed 3 chapters, so you can go on like that. Also, Jian Ye is apparently Mao Ni's best novel (Ze Tian Ji ending sucked) so good luck!

    Instead of doing the past chapters, focus on editing the new ones. Your quality is far worse than the old translation

    If you are confident of the translation quality, then I recommend you approach RWX for a collaboration. That way you could focus more on the TL and earn enough rewards deserving of a TL. I really want to read Jiang Ye but I'm too occupied to catch up to the latest chapter, I hope you will remake it.

    Just my opinion though.
