Uhh, I know no Vietnamese whatsoever, but couldn't it be like a Holy Mother complex? Like "wtf? Why are you saving some random person?" Or like being a Holy Mother type by being kind and compassionate, aka light side.

Hero! I was wrong!!! A Holy Mother really is this world’s most wonderful character! This world needs a Holy Mother! Kneeling and begging for the protagonist’s Holy Mother complex to shine her glorious light on the people next to them (especially me)!"

Sorry, couldn't resist a few corrections. But I think this still makes sense and explains it a little better

Haha, like I said, I know absolutely no Vietnamese, so its not a literal translation. As for where the complex comes from, I think it's kind of implied in this case, because it's definitely not another person, as per how you've translated it. He's doing the actions. So it's a characteristic of the protagonist, right? And since "Holy Mother" looks like a descriptor of a set of actions (in this case, "saving that slut"), the first thing that pops into my head is a savior complex. Ergo, Holy Mother complex.

Does that kind of help? I mean, it's just a suggestion, but that's how I thought about it.

Took a look at the summary through Pinyin instead of actual Google Translate (no MTL yet though). I'm pretty sure it really is "Holy Mother" because who else is going to lecture the protagonist? I think it's implied she's the protagonist's mother.

Btw, the characters used "sheng mu" can also mean Holy Goddess or refer to the Virgin Mary.

Guess I'll read this next. I've had bad luck with danmei novels recently. They start out good, then I check the final chapter and it's just some convoluted ending that doesn't connect with the beginning, doesn't make sense, full of plotholes, and disappointing to the point that it makes me drop the whole novel so I won't waste my time and get even more disappointed by the end... Gems are hard to come by.

 

Holy mother is a trope, essentially a goody two shoes who is nice and all.

 

Started MTL reading and wow, the poor protagonist...

He has eight abilities/transforms, one for each race that he attained through virtues? some tasks for those races?

Heaven/Holy -->heal
Demons-->destruction
Wizards-->magic bullet?
Gnomes/dwarves-->forging
Dragons-->toughness/stamina
Souls-->the dead
Orcs-->berserk?
Humans-->study/cultivation?

Anyway, he gets acclaim as the world's hero. He goes to the wizard's tower and somehow a super lich gets unearthed. The lich gets blamed on him no matter how he says he's innocent. People sentence him to vaporization by driving this special nail in him, except the hero uses his undead ability (from the souls) and turns undead. You can't kill the undead.

Then they get the Heavenly/Holy people over and they try to purify him. The protagonist can't bear to kill these people so he knocks them out, but the whole continent's after him... All the fleeing and almost getting killed and getting betrayed by people all over the place blackens the hero over time. Eventually he's completely blackened and on the verge of destroying the world...

 

what about the ml?....how does he meet the mc?...and poor mc to slowly turn ito someone who is going to destroy the world o.o

 

The MC travels to the other world through a package, I think? I'm not sure. Google-sensei was super unhelpful in MTL for this part. All the slang and modern terminology didn't help. :/

He goes over as his original self and all, plus a game-type system.

WHAT KIND OF GREETING IS THAT, MC?!?

Place MC got transported to (he figures out pretty quickly it's a different world because there are two moons? I think.) is a barren wasteland. There's this pillar of light that he heads towards while worrying if he's going to starve to death and also freaking out at being good at nothing but tech (which doesn't exactly exist in this world). He figures out soon that his 'cheat' is 'restore.' He won't starve because he can 'restore' his body to a before-hungry state, 'restore' the batteries in his headphones, etc.

He sees a temple and charges in because YAY it looks like civilization. He sees this grim reaper sorta skeleton and realizes it's the ML. ML is pretty much half-dead and internally angsting, full of resentment at the world, but raises his head.

MC says, "Meow."

PFTTTHAHAHAHAHA. I don't know if it's MTL but that is hilarious.

 

The original story had a cat companion and he had to replace the cat to move the plot ...

 

...Okay, never mind.

It was the 'resurrection stone' cat in the area who was supposed to resurrect the ML. But it saw MC and was scared away.

MC is desperate and goes through in his mind various alternatives.

He settles on...

KISSING. Like, 'maiden's kiss.'
