气质 is temperament. 飘渺 means misty/intangible or something. So together what does it mean? Since misty temperament makes no sense

Sounds like "aloof" if I had to guess.

could also suggest that "untouchable" feeling some people give; they're the top of the world, the rest are scum. Is there no other context?

气质 = temperament , personal trait , manners
飘渺 = faintly discernible , as in mist

Yeah, was guessing it either meant that or a trascendant temperament or something similar. However, didn't want to guess and possibly mistranslate

Context was just describing a person.

    腰跨长剑,翩翩如玉,气质飘渺。仿佛是从古画中走出的仙人。

    Rip.

    "Untouchable."
    "Cold."
    "Aloof."
    "Otherworldly."

Any of those should be sufficient to describe the person. Depends how you want to depict them.

Maybe read ahead, get more detail on how the character acts.
If they act wise/cold/snobbish/distant/not-all-there it should help identify which meaning you wish to use.

Seems to be a common descriptor for an Immortal. Just from googling 飘渺若仙

So yeah, I agree with something like "transcendent" or "otherworldly".

I have read ahead. The character is basically supposed to be like those graceful sword Immortals. So contextually, otherworldly or transcendant should be accurate, I think.

Thanks Keluru, Saint, gokucloud and null for helping me out. Decided to go with transcendant
