Cleaning up tags on NU V2.0

Isn't R-18 enough to identify if it has sexual content? but usually if its just one scene then I wouldn't consider it adult or even mature content.

How does subtle sexual content impact the story? Don't say that it progresses the relationship between 2 characters because kissing and dating is about equal in terms of impact. Sex is just a side progression in their development as a couple.

 

You bring up a good point.
The reason why I bring this up is because if there is one such scene, it leads to potentially more but as the translated content is not up to the latest / end, we do not know hence the updated tagging. I mean I didn't even expect the novel to have a scene like this.

I would actually say it impacts the story as

the person the protagonist is having sex with is not his girlfriend, but his teacher so that'll have lasting impacts / consequences which I'm sure will be seen in later translated chapters. This is also cheating in this case but I can't think of an approriate tag

.

However, I won't add the tag unless this has been discussed out as I was banned for simply adding adult and mature when there was an explicit sex scene. Rather not be seen as trolling when I'm not and just reading the story

EDIT: I Just looked up the tag definition for R-18 and it states it can only be used for JP so it wouldn't fit here. It even says in the tag definition, adult would work for others.

 

You seem to be very reasonable person so I will lift the ban on you. And yes, we do have an adultery tag for that.

If you have any more suggestions to add feel free to post them here. There should be a number of people who watch this thread and are more then willing to discuss such changes.

I'll be watching the thread for more suggestions, but I worry that adultery tag won't work because the tag definition mentions married which the mc is not and there is no cheating tag, only a cheats tag which refers to something else entirely.

The only reason why I want to add a tag is to warn people that there is sexual content albeit light and much later in the translations.

 

We can always "adjust" the definition on adultery though I will need more opinions on this. @LaDyViL @brasca123 @BlancFrost @Lord Blitz

I didn't even know we had that tag. There's just too many to keep track of lol and there are many similar words. Yeah that should work

Affair in particular I remember, because we discussed about merging it with Adultery at one point IIRC, but we decided against it due to them being different in the end.

Do we have Tag Dictionary? I mean definition for each and every tag.
I think I once had mentioned this......... Last year I think....

 

If you look at the list of tags, you'll see some of them have a red "X" next to them, and others will have a green uhn... The thing that you use to show something is correct.

The ones with the green mark already have definitions, you can see the definition by hovering the mouse over them, or by clicking the tag.

"light" sexual content doesn't require a tag. Then, there is the r-18 tag. Actually, for light sex, R15 might do. For JP at least.
Adult is only for sex and partly for gore.

 

Thing is there was sex. and it's not JP another problem with the MMORPG CN novel. Let me repeat, there is sex in one.5 chapters

However, it misled people to think I trolled. At least the mature tag went through

 

Are you saying there is sex every 5 chapters, or one scene lasts that long?

 

Two seperate scenes thus far in the translated content. One that's most of the chapter and one that takes up a quarter of another.

Sorry man, not enough to call it adult. When I say adult, I am talking about something close to ero. This..seems more like romance. Even if it gets more often in the future, considering the chapter percentages...no. mature is good enough. If the sexual activity was forced, then maybe sexual assault or whatever the tag was called. Your request is denied for now. And if you are gonna bring up examples of stuff like atg and all to counter, let me tell you...tags and genres in cn WILL go through a complete revamp some time in the future. Some time will be taken.

 

Petitioning to rename the anti-social protagonist tag.

From the definition, it seems that this tag is used to describe sociopathic main characters. You know, people who kill animals for fun, people who lack empathy, etc etc.

But I think it's easy to mistake this tag for an asocial protagonist. (i.e. someone who is kinda introverted and doesn't like socializing with other people)

For the sake of clarity, I think it would be better to rename the anti-social protagonist tag into "sociopath protagonist".

 

I think the definition is the one in the wrong, not the tag's name.

What you called as "asocial protagonist" and the meaning behind "anti-social protagonist" are the same I think, the problem is that the definition of "anti-social protagonist" is quite terrible atm.

Do you have a suggestion of a definition that would be better than the current one? A mod can edit it in.
