I bought a new PC, high performance ^_^ I went on Volare Novel today to read Red Packet Server and for some reason, the page kept loading by the second. Like I could still read but the icon on the tab was going crazy and the refresh icon kept changing between an X and the refresh symbol. I had bit of lag trying to scroll and just got irritating so I just had to add adblock. I was hoping to avoid the use of it since I was forced to use Adblock on my laptop but that site was crazy. I made sure it wasn't just that 1 time it happened too. Anyone else been having issues with the site?
TBH, I couldn't even find what the problem was. The site was just going crazy. I sent a message though.
To my knowledge, it has something to do with the ads. Because when ever I turn on my Ad Blocker and Ublocker, it works just fine. But when I have them off ,which I try to. The website just jumps as a scroll with arrow keys rather than smoothly moving downwards.
When you load it, go to console (f12 in chrome I think) and click on the network tab there and see the load times. You can verify if it's an ad script causing the delayed load times
i have that issue too sometimes, but i usually ignore it cause my laptop isnt the best anymore and that problem is on most websides (e.g. relibrary, gravity tales, etc.) with ads so if its not so severe that it restricts my readingexperience then i dont care
Hey, appreciate the ping! I wouldn't have noticed otherwise. @@ @rodusk123 did you say you sent in a message? I just checked the contact form inbox and didn't see it. But yes, in order to block ads, website owners generally need some information in the form of links and/or OS to be able to block it. I've received a couple messages before that said, "Your ads suck, fix them." Well, that's kind of like saying, "There's a typo in the 600 chapters you translated. Fix it." I need more info! I hate bad ads just like everyone else, help me help youuuuuu.
Strange, I did send it through the Contact Us page. Then again I don't think I provided useful information as you have said because I'm not knowledgeable in finding out what the issue was through looking at page source or javascript or other methods. I tried to look to see if there were any ads on the pages that were causing the issue but I couldn't see anything. Hopefully, someone with more knowledge encounters that issue and would be able to contact you regarding that. I did want to attempt using the F12 method that was mentioned by @pentadrian but unfortunately, after after adding adblock and then disabling it I haven't encountered the problem anymore. Guess I'll keep reading novels on Volare Novel and hope I get that issue again.
