if he says something like that, then it means that you clearly hurt him quite a lot with your breakup, but he cant bring himself to say no to you. treat him extra well over the next few weeks if you get back together.
im clear of alcohol since my last break up and i dont want to end feeling like shit next morning so i'll pass on the drink party but drink 10 bottles for me thats what i drink normally before starting with tequila and weird shit that happens here in mexico

Actually, that much better than (example) 3 years dating with a break up at the end. I mean... What was those 3 years? Getting know each other? At least make it 1 week trial and make a conclusive end
oh yes of course. but thats if you actually breakup. this here might as well be a small fight they had. and fights are things that happen in every healthy relationship. the breakups you are talking about are quite different than whats going on here.

thats just bad planning on the persons part. if you date someone for 3 years and then broke up you should have very clearly noticed by the first year that this wont get anywhere. its obvious when a relationship stagnates, some people just refuse to end it. which results in things like you just said, a 3 year relationship that ends on a break up.
A break up is a break up there is changing the word, the damage is already done so thats no longer a fight, it has an even bigger damage than the usual "lets give us sometime" where you can take the time to finish completely and clean the relation.

Indeed and that was my first relation yet it was a long one and not as bad as you guys make it sound to be, as we were in different Job/School and only had our times 3 times a week, yet it was long and other than us unable to get along in the same house there was no other problem, be it me being a lazy bastard when it comes to housecleaning and her being the same yet asking for the impossible it was there that we truly crumbled apart
But if you wanna get over him completely. Try to ignore him, then talk to lots of people. Watch anime. Read novels. Stop thinking about him. I know it's hard, but thats life. People will come and go. I hate to say it, most of them—actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up because if you give up, you'll never find your soulmate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything.
And just so you know, long distance relationship doesn't work at all. Especially if you both are continents away.
